For the first time I felt ripped off by a Publix Super Market advertisement. They have a wonderful buy a $50.00 gas card for only $40.00 when you purchase $50.00 of groceries.

This week they had a VISA card with the same deal. Not so, there is an activation charge of almost $8.00. Bad advertising if you ask me. I spent well over $100.00 but when I was told by the checkout clerk about the service charge, I was really turned off.

Out of principle I passed on the gift card.

If you are going to have $10 off, do it right. I would have had a nice shopping experience except for that coupon.

Product or Service Mentioned: Publix Coupon.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $10.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Its amazing what people go online to complain about. Youre really going to take your time to sit down on a computer and *** about practically free money. Unbelievable

The service charge is not a Publix thing it's the credit card thing. There is an activation fee on all credit card gift cards. Yo will find that at any store that sells them Publix winn Dixie etc etc
