Just an fyi to all the wonderful consumers claiming "SCAM! SCAM!"

Every week there are price changes. 100+ price changes. Things going up; things going down; things coming off sale. The task of changing these tags, for the most part, fall onto one, maybe two, people. Yes, mistakes happen. But calling them scammers is a joke. If you honestly believe these things happen on purpose and are some evil conspiracy by Publix, Inc, go shop somewhere else. Go shop at walmart. Publix doesnt need your business or your money.

And also fyi, the price is automatically changed via software sent through from corporate. The store managers are sitting in the office smoking cigars and laughing with a sinister laugh, basking in the glory of screwing over customers out of 30 cents. But if a price mistake IS made, you get a refund and the item for free.

But again, please go shop somewhere else. The employees work way too hard to have to deal with your *** and, mainly, your stupidity.

I think walmart has the most people that switch tags, then again the way she is praising them, she could be paid to refer to people to shop there.

If that's the case then walmarts prices are still cheaper then publix so maybe all the over paid managers at Publix should keep Nickle and diming their associates so god forbid management does not have to eat it.

I don't know why people complain about a wrong price if it's wrong at the register they get the *** thing for free so what are you complaining about you're not losing any money we are as Publix associates because we own the company

Well maybe then the people changing the prices should stop making those mistakes, besides Publix is overpriced anyhow, and as far as taking my business to WalMart, I already am, and do the people of Florida a favor, go out of business Publix, cause we sure do not need you.

Sometimes customers change the prices themselves, they switch tags, and stuff like that, then try to get it for free, those people need to be in jail. When Bubba gets friendly with them they will regret their actions.

Good point, maybe WalMart does not have that problem with customers trying to switch the tags, hint hint!

You know what might work better on the tag switchers is that Publix should start selling mousetraps in the deli next to the cheese and put a picture of Mickey mouse in there to and maybe that will keep people from playing tag?

Actually there are are about 1000 items going on sale and another 1000 going off sale on AD day in just grocery alone.

Meat, bakery, produce and deli together are another 1000/2000.

There are an additional 3000 items changing price on saturday and monday that are not part of the ad. Those prices are determined by what the company pays the supplier plus its profit margin.

And yes the computer end is done by software but a human physically hangs the signs and tags. So even if you had 10 things wrong on your receipt, you have an error rate of less than HALF OF ONE PERCENT.

with this sort of attitude , you will only continue to work in publix for the rest of your life, in the meantime i like (!) how you can defend some mistake that is repeatedly being done by publix, and never being fixed

to make you feel better (!) i will post another publix mistake within 5 minutes, please check my post that says "publix, you go!" and check the receipt too...hope you feel better

There are a lot of customers that expect stores to revolve around them. I have seen a lot of the complaints here, people complaining because late at night(before midnight) sale prices have been taken off some of the merchandise, in preparation for the next day, because they can't change all of the prices at one time. I haven't worked retail for more than 20 years but I have seen customers being really rude to store employees.

You are right, the stores do not revolve around customers, its all about the managers, the customers and store associates are not worthy.

Publix doesn't need their customers or their money? Are you an official spokesperson for Publix and speaking on their behalf? BTW: No, 30 cents is not much but when you times it by thousands of customers, it starts to become quite a lot.

Just like with walmart, people will continue shopping there. Deal with it and stop being bad customers.

We don't have Publix here :grin Sounds like if you work there, maybe "dealing with it" is a skill YOU need to learn. :p

I would think that if you are old enough to be on this site, you would not automatically assume that just because someone tells the customer they are being bad customers that they work for the company. Sounds like a loved one from the US got fired from there and that is why you have a grudge against them.
