Reviews and Complaints
The worst employment interview ever.
I recently had an in store interview with Luisa at the Dadeland Publix. When Luisa got to the customer service desk she was so unprofessional looking at me with so much discrimination.
She obviously did not what to conduct the interview, she treated me with her body language like I had The Ebola virus/ COVID. The interview only lasted about 9 minutes max. I thought it was the first time doing interviews. She did not take the time to make the interview the most important thing.
She was very quick and dismissive. Furthermore, she opened with I still need to interview more people. Making me feel unimportant. She mentions that customer / people are the most important for this company, but in this 9 mins she was making me feel miserable.
She stated that she would call. The kiss of death.
- Need better hiring managers
Preferred solution: Not a thing. Just Be Better with not just customer but potential employees.
User's recommendation: My recommendation to future hiring manager is we are in 2023 were every were everyone is talking about diversity and inclusion. Look at the person that you’re interviewing like if they were you biological baby would you treat them mean and indifferent or try to make them feel respected and valued. Do this even though you might not hire them . Be kind so others will be kind to you kin. Not dismissive .

Verified Reviewer |Complaint finding more and more products missing from shelves. Covid is for the most part over.
Publix plays price gouging to offer bongos. 8.49 for any 12 pack of soda.
Outrageous. Many products missing. 6 today. Have to shop at another store to purchase the ingredients needed to cook what I planned.
Already purchase meat from another supplier. Tired of Publix prices for tough meat. The people of Publix are very pleasant but I go there for food items. If its not there I have to go elsewhere.
We already but most sundries from Walmart. The items on the shelves in the pharmacy are really marked up. Overall many store wide products are close to 2.00 more than other stores. Why do I keep going there.

Verified Reviewer |Deli Manager Robin Shepherd Fuller having an affair with my husband!
Deli Manager Robin Shepherd Fuller has been having an affair with my husband for 3 years. I when we got married I begged this woman to stay away from my husband and give my marriage a chance.
Then I find out their at Publix in conyers eating lunch and engaging in sexual acts in their vehicles on the property and on Publix time. All I wanted to know is this something that Publix condones their Managers dont have respect for the sanctity of marriage. Who are yall hiring.
This women have been to family functions I did not attend and lied!!! I thought Publix was about serving the community, but wow!!
- Publix is a great place to shop
- Deli manager robin shepherd fuller
Preferred solution: This women needs to be reprimanded for her actions she has been intervening in my marriage from the start.. Then she tells anybody that will listen that she’s not going anywhere!

Publix Work Experience Review from Bessemer, Alabama
I just walked away after 8 1/2 years with Publix. I worked my butt off and did everything that I thought was expected of me.
The management at Publix show zero interest in coaching and training employees that you are pretty much responsible for digging through the RPG guides to learn anything. Then, they try to use this as a reason to not give you a raise. The truth is they have their favorites that they will bend over backwards to please, but if your not in the click then you are looked on as just being a labor issue.
While I don't mind giving my customers the service they deserve and treating them the way I like to be treated, I WILL NOT KISS UP TO MANAGEMENT JUST TO GET AHEAD! The annual AVS is a joke because they don't really want to hear what employees really think, they just want the employees to tell them how great they are.

Verified ReviewerPublix Employee Complaint
Alyssa at the Publix on NE Capital Circle in Tallahassee, FL has a serious attitude and one day it will catch up to her. Publix will no longer be able to protect her because it will be the wrong customer she *** off.
I had an interaction with her, and now she avoids me at all costs.
It's kinda funny in my opinion, but it doesn't keep me from shopping there. Its only a matter of time before she quits or gets fired.
- Friendly staff
- Rude employees
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Find another friendly cashier to check you out.

Verified Reviewer |Rude Cashers.
My wife and I were checking out at Publix at Goolsby Point and the casher and bagger were engrossed in conversation and treated us rudely, we are seniors and have shopped there and Fish Hawk for 20 years this was the worst ever. As a retired manager I would keep Jayden and Sydney away from your customers.

Verified ReviewerMonthly 5,00 coupon
For a very long time I was receiving the monthly $5.00 coupon to be applied to purchases $50.00 or more.
Lately I have not received that monthly $5.00 coupon and I'd like to know why?
The Customer Service people at my Publix store told me to contact you and notify you of this glitch. Perhaps you can correct the oversight.
Thank you,
Beverly Librizzi

Verified Reviewer |Poor customer service
Per usual...was in the dairy section looking for a product. Spent a minute or two looking with an employee stocking the section.
He never once looked or acted like he could care less if I found what I was looking for. Went to check out with what I did have and Trenyce my cashier said hello with not a hint of a smile. She obviously didn't like being at work today. The girl bagging my few items even after I said thank you never looked up or responded.
She too, didn't want to be working today. I believe Publix has some of the worst customer experience I have ever had at a grocery store.
User's recommendation: Don't expect anything from the Publix crew
This company is a lie.
Working at Publix, you are told that it's a growing company, where you can grow in "rank" while having to start from the bottom. That is a complete lie.
I have worked as a bagger for a year now in Columbus, Ga, being told to wait 6 months before being trained as cashier. I waited 8, whereas a brand new bagger from the streets(samg age/experience) will be hired and trained as cashier in the same month. At a year and a half now after showing my competence to be promoted several times, I have watched my co-workers being promoted, in less time than i have worked here, still a bagger, with more responsibilities. I, myself, am not the only person with this same problem. I and a few other of my co-workers have worked here for a year, a couple years, or more and while you're NOT on the good side of my manager, you will not be promoted. I was told in my interview that I can grow in this company (within reason of course). All i see in this company are a bunch of greedy bastards who cannot pay a dollar more with the same employees that has been with them for at least a year, while they bring in other people to start them off at the lowest pay possible.
On my evaluations, instead of getting the "grade" i expect myself to have, they give me the standard numbers and advice. "Bring in more carts" "Always offer the customer help" Basically what is it, I am being told to do better, at something I have already been doing the entire time I've been working here. I bring in carts, EVERY TIME i leave the building. The managers excuse? you have to make sure your co-workers are doing the same thing and become their role-model. Where on my job description does it say "mentor?" Unless I have manger's pay, I am not going to boss my own peers around.
I feel like, with as much work and effort I put into this company and the customers, none of my actions are recognized by anyone but myself. And no I don't expect rewards for fetching the forgotten loaf of bread, but when it effects my evaluations and when I'm being told I'm NOT doing something that I DO, there's a problem. Yes, I am currently in the process of getting a new job in real estate and is studying for the test I have to take.

Verified Reviewer |Turning into Publix from Scuffletown Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681
After road construction last month, the city engineers have created a space from which to turn from Scuffleton into Publix by going left. The line to go into for turning left, however, has been painted in solid yellow, not as a dashed yellow line.
This creates confusion as many drivers do not want to break the law and are turning left from a regular line, thus obviating the original intention and creating unnecessary delays.
This is not a problem created by Publix but it is one in which Publix must act and contact the city engineers to correct the problem.
This is rather urgent. Thanks.
User's recommendation: NOT A COMPLAINT. JUST A REQUEST FOR ACTION.

Verified Reviewer |Lack of concern for disabled veterans
Disabled veteran with problems walking/very bad painful limp awaiting knee replacement. At exactly 10 PM 1 Nov 22, they locked the door, would not unlock the door so I could leave made me walk around to the other side of the store to exit!
The manager was right there and I was told to walk around to the other door! Very poor customer relations! When theres customers in the store and they lock the doors they should have someone monitoring the door to let the customers out!!! Especially handicapped customers!!
Rather than redirecting them to an alternate door, its hard enough to walk with (military)disabilities and even harder to be redirected to an alternate door for the managers convenience!!Definitely makes me think about recommending/referring others to Shop at Publix on Big Bend Rd. in Riverview Florida!!
User's recommendation: If you have disabilities think twice about shopping at Publix on Big Bend

Immature of you to give EVERYONE a thumbs down because they disagree with you. You automatically ASSume it is discrimination rather than you do not have the skills.
You did not get the job, so it is "discrimination" there is no way that you were not qualified. With your childish attitude GOOD LUCK finding any job.
"Made me feel." How to say I'm a loser without saying it. No one can make you feel anything.
Anyone with any sense WILL NOT hire someone like you. They will always have to walk on eggshells around you as you demand the current work culture changes just to make you feel good.
You just said you are a loser without saying it. Dr. Phil wannabe.
No to mention that there are laws against child labor. They would not be allowed to legally hire a 6 year old anyway.
Also. Instead of claiming discrimination. Why not admit that you are not good enough.
Good luck getting any job with your childish behavior and attitude.
