The manager stopped his work to help me find a product and the butcher came from behind the counter to help me made me feel like a star and I am grateful for the help instead of trying to find someone in other stores to get help I love Publix and started shoppingtherealsothe two for one deal is great

Verified Reviewer |Unacceptable publix commercial
- - Publix aired an inappropriate Christmas commercial.
- - Grandsons asked why that evil girl stabbed Santa; customer wants to speak to a live person ASAP.
This commercial really was terrible. That girl showed unacceptable behavior. Spoiled and very disrespectful .
I was watching TV with my grandchildren when a Publix commercial came on. I could not believe what i saw the most inappropriate Christmas commercial I have ever seen.
My grandsons actually said, why did that evil girl stab Santa?
Along with other things.
I am furious and want to talk to a live person. Please contact me ASAP i look forward to speaking with you soon.

Preferred solution: The commercial to be removed completely and an explanation on why you would create such a disturbing commercial. And how is that child NOT on the naughty list? Then rewarded as a “princess”? Is this a joke?
User's recommendation: I am disappointed in Publix. This commercial creates negative energy.

Verified Reviewer |TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
- - Customer waited 10 minutes for lottery help; attendant ignored them, apologized, and resumed tasks; Susy Springer cited for poor leadership.
AFTER MAKING MY REGULAR PURCHASES I TRY TO BUY SOME LOTTERY . THE ATTENDANT DID IGNORE ME AND JUST KEPT DOING HER PERSONAL BUSINESS EVEN AFTER 10 MINUTES WAITING FOR HER HELP OR AT LEAST ATTENTION.
FINALLY SHE STOPED DOING WHATEVER SHE WAS DOING, AN SAID "SORRY" AND JUST KEPT DOING HER PERSONAL THINGS.
THIS IS HAPENING OFTEN AT THIS LOCATION IN 3060 NE 41 TERRACE. AFTER MANY YEARS AUDITING STANDARDS IN BUSINESS IN EUROPE CENTRAL AMERICA AND ASIA THE ONLY EXPLANATION WHEN I USE TO FIND THIS BEHAVIORS IS POOR LEADERSHIP, IN THIS CASE BY MRS. SUSY SPRINGER, THE STORE MANAGER. SEEMS THAT THE INSTITUCIONAL VALUES OF THE BRAND ARE THING OF THE PAST.
THE MANAGER HAS FORGOTTEN THAT LOYALTY IS A CUSTOMER VALUE THAT DEPENDS DIRECTLY FROM SERVICE. EVEN MORE WHEN THE COMPETITORS ARE ACROSS THE STREET(WALMART) OR ONE MILE AWAY(PRESIDENT), AND THERE PRICES ARE LOWER. THE ONLY REASON WHY MANY OF US PAY MORE IS BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AS AN ADDED VALUE.
TRAINING THE PERSONAL COULD BE A GOOD PRACTICE BUT POOR LEADERSHIP WILL HARDLY RECOGNIZE THIS DEFICIT.
MY NAME IS RICARDO MUNOZ I AM AN CERTIFIED INTERNATIONAL AUDITOR, MY LAST TERRIBLE MOMENT AT PUBLIX WAS 08/13/2025 AT 13: 15 AT THE LOTTERY BOX. MY PHONE NUMBER IS 786217**** AND I AM VISITING WALLMART, PRESIDENT AT THE END THE PRICES ARE LOWER AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND KINDNESS IS AT THIS POINT THE SAME OR BETTER THAN IN THIS PARTICULAR PUBLIX STORE.
- Quality products so far
- Poor training
- Poor customer service

Verified ReviewerManagement retaliation
- - Hired Aug 2025 for the liquor store.
- - Training was 8 days over a month.
- - Raising concerns led to retaliation and a 5-hour week; no corporate response.
Don't let them browbeat you... contact HR at corporate
Training was to be 8 days...you figure consecutive. 8 days over a month! How do you retain what you learned? When I brought my concerns to corporate in Lakeland Florida the store retaliation started.
Mgmt. accused me of slandering another mgr. by calling her a 'liar.' They claimed several people were party to this. When I asked their names mgmt.
refused to disclose. Plus my schedule was cut to 5 hours a week. Haven't heard from corporate about this treatment...guess it's okay with them.
Store mgr.Colemanz doesn't care either. 'A great place to work' Publix claims...Hah!
Preferred solution: Response from corporate

Sale item out of stock
- - Store was out of 20-piece jerk chicken at dinner time.
- - Four nearby stores were out at dinner; manager said the item is new and forecast was off.
Came in to get a box of 20 piece jerk chicken for dinner this evening around 7:45pm. The store I visited was out of stock on this sale item from the deli.
I proceeded to call four other stores within the area and was willing to drive since they were only 3 to 5 miles from my area. To my surprise, they were all out of this item at dinner time. I was told by the department manager that this was a new item and they didnt project/forecast or expected it to sell as well as it did. This is the 5th day of the sale and it is also football season.
The manager did ask if I wanted to wait 30 minutes for them to make a fresh batch. Who wants to wait that long when they are hungry at dinner time?! This is poor planning and execution from the department manager, not making sure that the department was prepared for dinner time, as there were other items in the hot case that were also out. Publix really just promote anyone now and workers don't really care as they used to like they did back in the 90s and 2ks.
It seems to me that it kinda started with the relaxed hair cuts and facial hairs period.
Associates are there now, just for a paycheck and not to grow the company as they did then, to be the "Premier Grocer" in the world. Publix has already lost a high percentage of customers due to competitive pricing, they will lose a lot more if they continue to decline in customer service and out of stock items that they can control.
There delivery service is impossible to set the time. I
- - Checkout time selection is hard.
- - I expected 9am delivery; it's 4–6 pm.
- - This will be my last order from them; I am lucky to have many choices nearby.
All goes well until you get to checkout time .It is way to difficult to pick a time. I thought I was ordering a soon as time 9am for morning delivery but its now 4 to 6 pm.
But it won't be a problem in the future as this is last order from them. I am lucky to have many choices where I live.

Verified ReviewerComplaint regarding Publix Supermarket on Baylor Drive in Bluffton SC
- - BOGO sign not honored; items rang up full price.
- - Sign had no date and did not match current flyer; manager would not override.
On Tuesday, May 6th, I was shopping at Publix, and one of the items I was purchasing clearly was marked 'buy one, get one free,' so I picked up four of the items. When I got to the cashier, they all rang up at full price.
She sent the bag boy to check out the price on the shelf, and he verified that there was a sign stating that, but when she looked it up in the flyer, it was not listed. The manager was called to override the price but said that the sign was meant for Wednesday's sale flyer and that he had no authority to give me the price according to the sign. Needless to say, I was quite angry because in business, if you put a price on something, that's the price you should pay. There was no date on the sign.
After standing there at the checkout for an extended time with other shoppers waiting behind me, the cashier said that she couldn't refund me for the items that I no longer wanted at full price. Now I had to go to customer service and get refunded my money after I checked out. By that time, I was feeling weak since I recently had back surgery, and this was the first day I was able to go out to shop for groceries. I always thought that Publix prided themselves on great customer service, but I certainly did not experience this.
The manager is nothing more than a lame jerk if he has no authority to rectify a situation such as this; mind you, this was not a high-ticket item. I plan on posting this complaint on various social media platforms unless I receive a response. I was treated rudely and embarrassed in front of other shoppers. I will question whether I will shop at Publix stores in the future.
There are plenty of other options in Bluffton, South Carolina. Sincerely, Bette McDermott

Deli poor or no service.
- - Publix deli at Kings Lake Naples seems often closed with no one to help.
- - When staff appear they say someone will be right with you and leave.
Publix deli at Kings Lake, Naples is usually closed. Or, so it seems.
No one there to wait on you. Sometimes a deli worker pops in and says, someone will be right with you and leaves.
Very frustrating. If you look towards the back room youll see several workers talking, loitering and laughing.
Is poor customer service
- - Returned damaged item without receipt; no sale record.
- - Customer felt harassed and won’t shop there after 7 years and 90k, $100 gift card offered.
After shopping at the Publix in Daytona Beach Shores for seven years, I went to return an item that was defective and I did not have the receipt in the manager on duty, said that it perhaps may have been purchased somewhere else, but because they had no record of selling that product over the last 12 months And I know I personally purchased it in October and I cannot believe that I got harassed. I felt upset and left the store.
I have spent nearly $90,000 in this place over the last seven years and I can assure you Im not even gonna spend 9000 this year not with that attitude that you have in your customer service reps and this isnt the first time This is multiple times. I dont know whats going on with the store, but Im not gonna shop there anymore in the meantime, you arranged to give me a $100 gift card. If not, I will follow through with this and continue to follow through with this until you do so Ive had enough. Ive had enough of *** poor customer service I did contact the store directly.
I spoke to the store manager named Brett. I have not heard back from him.
Hes had seven hours and that was more than enough. Please call me tomorrow 904881****
Website Sucks and Store Layout Sucks
- - Store layout is confusing and the site is hard to use.
- - You can't add to cart; only a virtual list.
- - Chatbot loops when you lodge a complaint.
The store layout makes absolutely no sense to the point where I only shop here when absolutely necessary. The website is atrocious.
Why cant I add anything to the cart?? Why is my only option to add items to a virtual list??? Makes no sense.
By the time I gave up on the site, the store was closed. And if you try to lodge a complaint or give feedback with the chatbot, you get stuck in an endless loop.
User's recommendation: Avoid in general.
*** poor customer service
- - -Seven years as a customer, spending about $90k.
- - -Lost receipt; manager says item wasn't purchased here.
- - -Seeks at least $100 credit to keep shopping.
What happened was that Ive been doing business with the store for seven years and I lost a receipt on an item that was broken and when I went to return it, the manager said that it was not purchased at her store. I cannot believe after spending almost $90,000 in the store, the last seven years and being in the store practically every day that I would be treated like this.
If the store does not issue $100 credit or more theres no point in doing business here, I mean theyre the worst.
Its like a big oversize convenience store. 1789.

Work conditions
- - I worked 17 years at Publix.
- - Quarterly bonuses were removed.
- - I retire after 17 years and a $2.25/hr pay cut moving from full-time to part-time.
I worked for Publix 17 years. Back a few years ago took away quarterly bonuses.
After I went from full time to part time they cut my pay $2.25 less per hour but doing a same job. Cut 6 months valuation to once a year so they dont have to raise your pay.
Retiring after 17 years. They didnt say a word not even kiss my you know what
There meat is terrible a $30 filet is un eatable not just bad but rancid

I have watched Publix customer service decline over the last five years; this review is spot on. I agree, Publix no longer recognizes what initially set them apart from the 'other' stores.
Stop with the all caps. You claim twice the employee was doing personal business then once state “whatever it was she was doing”.
So no, you have no idea. All caps was too hard to dissect Mr. Certified Auditor, but next time I suggest proofreading.
It’s “personnel” and “Walmart”. Put that training and certification to use.
