I went to get a sub from the deli. And there out of WHITE bread at 8:00pm. They don't close until 9:00 pm. Thats's the most common bread so how can you not have enough to complete the day. They were very rude about it as well.

First off you really people are starving out there and you are caring what kind bread you get seriously grow up, and be a man/woman! Second the bread is made fresh every 6 hours so if there is in influx of business that you can't account for then you will be out so get over it at least you can afford a sub!

I came for a few thing at Publix at The Grove on Apopka Vineland Rd. They had about one dozen bouquets as a choice of flowers for Mothers' Day about 6pm. Half of them was picked through and should not have even been out for sale. It's not like they won't sell these...

You can't blame Publix because you couldn't get there early in the morning for the best pick. You went there around 6pm on Mother's Day.

What the *** did you expect you were gonna get. Common sense tells you that most people wait until the last *** minute to purchase stuff, and that the ones who are smart know to get there early.

Publix wanted me to wait!

I ordered a loaf of Caraway Seed Rye Bread and a loaf of Cinnamon Raison Bread on Friday, March 15 to be picked up on Sunday, March 17 at noon. When I arrived at 12:30, I was advised it would be another 60-90 minutes before my Cinnamon Raisin Bread would be completed and then it would be more time because I wanted it sliced! What??!! Why is this suddenly my problem?!? I placed the order on Friday (during the day) for a pick-up on Sunday. When I asked why, I was advised the dough was frozen. Why is this my problem? It's not. I complained to their corporate office which get the e-mail shot down through their chain of command. It's been over 1 week with promises of a response and receiving nothing. Didn't have problems like this over on the Gulf Coast (Palm Harbor/Tarpon Springs). If there were other decent grocery stores, this wouldn't have happened. Competition makes companies either sit up and take notice or just swirl their way down the drain. This bread was needed for a specific reason!

HEY EVERYBODY TYPE IN IdgieThreadgoode IN THE SEARCH OPTION AND SEE THAT ALL SHE DOES IS POST TO COMPLAINTS TO PUT DOWN THE CUSTOMER & THE COMPLAINTANT. SHE USED TO USE THE NICKNAME LADYSCOT. TYPE IT IN AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THE POSTS ARE WORDED IN THE SAME MANNER AS IdgieThreadgoode = LadyScot.

I fine it interesting you complain about being made to wait when you were late to start with. You ordered for a noon pick up, and were 30 minutes late.

They probably thought it was a bogus order and put it out to be sold. Next time, be prompt.

People are staving all over the world and your complaint is waiting for bread? If it was that important you should have allowed for a delay. Geesh, count your blessings and don't be so petty.

@Carly

So you had to wait for some "bread". It wasn't like it was a wedding cake, your funeral flowers or your last meal.

Have you ever been a baker in an establishment, worked with the public, or in production? Understand you ordered it but did you ever think what the other person was dealing with? Don't judge. Maybe if you would have nicely spoke to the bakery manager and told him the situation and said, how much you enjoy the bread and that you wanted to ask why it wasn't ready like you requested.

Maybe someone was just learning and didn't realize they have a way of baking everything on a schedule, proofing etc because everything doesn't get baked at the same temp. and time. A little kindness goes far. My husband years ago was a baker for Publix and back then 90% of everything was baked and made there even from scratch.

Today most items are sent in just to be proofed and baked. Also, think of how many people Publix employees and gives wonderful opportunity to school kids etc. It's very hard to find a good job. Remember to be kind and you'll see more rainbows in your day....Ps Maybe you could tell them you're sorry for getting mad, (I have done so also before), and hope they will train them better.

Find the positive in shopping there...

cleanliness, buy one get one's, always accomodating... :)

As I stated the total already came up and it was time to pay. No discount tendered. When mentioned to the cashier she then took the discount off the price.Read it again and see your statement is not with the program.

Publix Bread

Publix products are not all good

Publix is where we buy many of our groceries, along with Wal-Mart, Aldi (awful frozen stuff), and even Big Lots, and we generally trust the Publix brands. One exception is the garlic bread. This stuff has nowhere near the butter and garlic that the brand names do. Small complaint, maybe, but buy brand names on that particular item. Oh, really, my review only has 59 characters, so I have to expand it to meet the *** *** requirements of this site so that my freely offered review gets posted on this *** *** review site? How about this? Blow me. This is *** ***. Why do I need to come up with a hundred characters to state a pretty *** simple review. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Publix in Miami, Florida - Premium Bread Buttercrust has been stale and coated with white substance.

Up until a month ago, it has been excellent. This week it is stale already and has a best by date of 10/28/11. Other times the outside of the bread crust was covered with a white substance. My husband would not eat it and threw it out. What seems to be the problem? What are we to do now? We tried this bread about six months ago and have been very happy with it. You need to take a good look at the situation. I am sure you have had other complaints about this matter, unless no one cares.

it's usually 2 days old !

we used to shop up in the brandon,fl area and everything was fresh .also my husband puchased spareribs and they stunk so bad i had to throw them in the garbage and ribs really are trimmed to the bone .very little meat on them . publix employees are really great otherwise .

Lol 'Dealing with Reality'! I had the same thoughs.

Hey complainer? Stop being a ***. "What seems to be the problem?" I don't know! I don't see any pictures for evidence so how can we take a stab at something descibred as a "white substance".

Sounds like flour to me! Ya know, like the stuff REAL bread is made of? "What are we to do now?" WOW THE WORLD HAS ENDED!!! Buy a different brand of bread for ***'s sake.

If my problems were as large as yours, I'd be hysterically happy.

Be grateful you have another day to buy more bread instead of crying over ONE bad loaf. Ever hear of something called a "mistake"?

Much to our dismay, we discovered that Publix bread is baked in a bakery and this "white substance" is some exotic ingredient known only as "flour". I would encourage you to seek medical help immediately.
