I Worked for company full-time 4-5 years, started out out amazing, then couldn't wait to quit. Need to know people to move up, most managers hate customers; most, not all.

Most ill-behaved employees sent to deli as punishment. March 2012; stock is up, Over all quality is down. 90% of managers just want more money without schooling, present friendly disposition for customers that matter. But there are 10% of these managers who are genuinely good people.

Most employees/customers have no idea what i'm talking about, and will defend Publix Supermarkets. Where shopping is a pleasure.....

It is now 2014 and their hiring practices are almost military. Ridiculous and overzealous process of going through a screening and interview' to be a part time bagger?

Really? Being 60, experienced and looking for something to help them and augment a little extra income should not be so silly to go through such none sense.

I totally agree with what u guys say. My experience was very similar I worked there for 4 years and just like you guys in the beginning they make it seem like is the best place to work at but then you see how mean and unprofetional publix managers are.

If you kiss they're but, laugh at they're dumb jokes and let them push you over then you might succeed but if you don't then your on the "not good employee" list and they would look for things to make you feel like you don't deserve to work there.

I feel like I wasted 4 years of my life that I'm not gonna get back but thank god I'm not there anymore. It is not good to go and work at a place were you feel miserable the benefits aren't worth for the mistreatment

I completely know what you mean, I've worked at Publix for nearly 8 yrs now. I am never felt so worthless after being at work for a day.

My manager tells me I do a great job, the next minute im in the sm office getting written up for the same thing that my manager said I did good. I'm sick of the two sided bs, and the extremely annoying double standards. I assumed with my loyalty that I've shown to the company they would show me the same respect.

Its really sad when customers even realize what is going on. I can't wait till the day I can walk out of that place.

PUBLIX MAY BE A VERY BAD PLACE TO BUY YOUR FOOD AS GGAAAAAY MEN WITH AIDS WORK THERE AND DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS AFTER THEY DRAIN THEIR MAIN VAIN IN THE TOILET.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I as well was an employee and i can't tell you what a joke it was to work there.

Yeah at first was gravy and great, then you start seeing the true colors of the people that work there. The managers i had were grumpy, hated every day that they had to come to work but they wanted to get promoted. They had terrible attitude and made everyone's day a nightmare. I had a manager that i got a long with but even he wasn't that great of a manager he just wanted more money.

You either have to kiss *** or know someone to get to the top. I worked there and i worked hard and never an appreciation nothing to guide me the way i wanted to go. Then the one manager that i got along with gets promoted, new manager comes in... he didn't like me since day one...

I got sick with strep throat and bronchitis and i was running a fever and i told him and he sent me to the office told me i was suspended from work for a week until i brought a Dr.s note, well i don't have insurance still and i can't afford having another medical bill, so i was force to quit because he was finding every way to make my life a living *** but would fire me.

So i had to quit. I wish he would have fired me at least i would have gotten paid for the time and work i put into that *** hole.
