This is absolutely the worst store manager in any district for Publix. The manager is a rude, uppity, maniac that wants everything done perfectly. If you can't meet his petfect little standards he'll yell at you, criticise you, undermind you and if you don't like he'll send you home in heartbeat. If you want to be treated inferior and less than, never receive praise and criticised for every mistake in the world by this hothead brat this would be the ideal store to work for. Where working at store 1048 is never a pleasure.

Publix - Bread Roll Review from Wilmington, North Carolina

I visited the Publix in Wilmington today. As I was looking through the bakery department for a selection, I had trouble because many of the cinnamon buns had no nutritional labels. This was to be my "weekend treat". In addition, there was a gnat-like creature crawling on top of the cream cheese topping on one pastry. I took it to one of the employees in that department and he promply removed it from the display. I immediately thought, "What about the ones where this would not stand out?" Sooooo, I settled for grapes. I have been in your store twice. I am a comparative shopper. Some of your prices are higher but you certainly have good quality. I chose not to buy pastry and to be more selective.

The reubens I order from there are exactly as big as the photo and are among the highest quality, best tasting I have ever had - no exaggeration. Although I know Publix to be a very top notch chain, I am sure there are a few locations that do not uphold the standards.
