I’m a 22 year old female and was shopping at Publix with my mother and 16 year old sister. My mother was purchasing beer as we are about to go to a family pool party and the woman who was our cashier asked my mother who she was purchasing the beer for and if she was going to give it to me and my younger sister...
let me say that we RARELY buy beer, so it’s always a little weird for us whenever we do purchase alcohol... so this made us feel very uncomfortable and judged! My mother is very offended by this... she would never allow anyone underaged to drink alcohol..
and I’m 22! I could’ve bought it myself.. I understand that the lady was trying to make sure nothing off was going on but seriously.. who’s business is it to who is going to drink the beer???
My mother and I are both old enough to purchase it, so why does it matter?
It’s unfortunate how judge mental people can be in today’s world... that was very unnecessary.
