I bought a frozen turkey at Publix Friday before Thanksgiving , 23.5 lbs , let it thaw and cook it thanksgiving morning. Cook it 5 hours @ 325 , look good and had reach temp .

Was OK but the meat was so tough , since then my wife has talk with several friend and they had the same problem with the Publix frozen turkeys that were on sale .Now I wonder if these turkey were old and put on sale to get rid of them . Thanks Joe

Reason of review: Bad quality.

We had the same problem in 2018. Turkey bough at the Seminole Florida Publix was too tough... trashed the leftovers.

We too had the same problem. We ended up throwing out the leftovers as they were too tough for sandwiches, and were difficult to carve.

Sometimes those frozen turkey's are leftovers from the year before, they just sit in the freezer for 12 months and then get sold.
