Publix in Tampa, Florida - NO Assistance

APOLLO BEACH FL ! Called to order a cake. get a lady who does not understand English and can not take your order. The only English speaking lady you are told just left for the day. So, you call a manager who never answers your call and you end up on the phone waiting just to get no assistance. SO MUCH FOR HELPING THE CONSUMER. You should have someone available to help people who only speak English just like we have people who help people who CAN NOT SPEAK ENGLISH! The treatment of customers is TERRIBLE THis is the WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY!

I am sure the lady that cannot speak English as you claim knows to start a sentence with a capital letter.

It's not just the bakery there in Apollo Bch, the deli manager is a doozi, Brenda?? I think this is what I saw.

I had the un-pleasure of witnessing that they don't really care for their employees either.

No breaks for the non-smokers and harassment of selected employees while keeping close friends with others. They're the ones who get away with ***.

My, my, we are being kind of racist aren't we? I'm sure this lady could speak English, only with an accent that made it hard to understand, and you just plain didn't like that.

I was at Publix in Belleair Bluffs, FL tonight and a bagger yelled at me and grabbed the bag of food back from me when I did not take the bag from him by the "two plastic handles." I complained to the night manager but I did not get a sense she was real concerned. ...

Publix, where working is a torture

I work at Publix. I got my first evaluation and it was nothing but praises. I had been working about 15 hours a week which couldnt possibly be enough to live off of. I figured after a good review I could ask for more hours and be good to go. Instead i was told i was not doing a good job and needed to learn how to do things the "Publix Way". I was not pleased with this answer so I did what they had always told us to do. I went to higher management. I asked my assistant manager if it was possible to get trained in a different department or cross trained. He said I would be first on the list and he would let me know. 3 weeks later I still had not heard from him so I decided it was time to see the store manager. The store manager said that there were no more positions open in any department and that I needed to learn how to do my job. So I went to our regional manager with even worse luck. It has been 2 months since then. I now work 10 hours a week. Im behind in bills. My store has hired 8 new people. 1 person has been fired.

South Gate Publixs

I was led to believe all I had to do was heat the turkey up for 90 -110 minutes. However, it was still frozen in the middle. This turkey was supposed to be pre-cooked and all I had to do was heat it up (that was not the case). Publix messed up my Thanksgiving. The Turkey needed to to be cut up and put in the oven in pieces. I was so sick over this and I cried all afternoon. I could not even give their turkey away. The manager answer my calls and address this problem. I bought the turkey dinner from South Gate, in New Port Richey fl.

I suspect that you may have mistakenly followed the directions for cooking a thawed turkey, but you had not thawed yours first? Over the weekend I reheated a cooked Publix turkey, but I had thawed it first.

The directions for a THAWED turkey were to cook for 90 - 120 minutes. I cooked mine about 100 minutes and it was perfect.

Publix management was dishonest

I was called to make an appointment for a job interview with Publix, and on the day of the interview I was again called and told the manager was stuck in a meeting and I would be called later that day to reschedule. I never received the call and when I inquired about the situation, the same woman gave me the answer of "We have no information at this time." I don't mind having an interview canceled for whatever reason, but to lie for no reason and waste my time by holding off other plans for the day of the interview is simply disappointing.

What exactly did/do you want the manager to do? It's not as if it is his employees leaving the food in all those places, it is customers.

I suppose he could hire a bunch of people to follow each and every customer to make sure they don't leave anything where it doesn't belong. (NOT)As others have stated, every store has a process for disposing of items left around the store where food safety issues apply, what more do you want?
