There is a new Publix in town and they have all the older cashier's out in the parking lot retrieving carts while at the same time they are having people from the front desk fill in at the cash registers.

I see young baggers standing inside, leaning and talking while the older cashier's are working outside.

Are they trying to get the older cashier's to quit?

I've been in management for thirty years and never seen something as blatant as this.

Shame on the management for allowing this to continue.

It really doesn't reflect well on the Publix image when customers are worried about the staff. And believe me, customers are talking about it. This is a relatively small town and nothing goes unnoticed.

So having old guys bring in carts is discrimination ... but having young guys do it is not?! Yup, love your logic there ...

you are an insult to the word respect

You may be suspicious, but unless you stop and talk to the oldsters working as cartboys, you really don't know what is going on. Stop and talk to them and if what you suspect is true, march into the store and complain to the manager.
