Publix in Tampa, Florida - Unit pricing

What happened to unit pricing? It seems I am too *** to figure out the individual price of an item. Buy three and save $4.99 I Do not carry my calculator with me when I go shopping. Is this a way of ripping off the customer? The other day there was a sign for bagles. Buy three and save $4,99. I think the bagles cost much more than the bagles in another part of the store. Pease stop this nonscense and get back to unit pricing. Was this not a law? Why does this require 100 words. thank you

Publix's outlandish pricing

Recently bought a bag of fresh spinich, 9 ounces, store brand at @2.29 ea. When I did the math, it turns out to be $4.00 per pound for a simple store brand bag of spinich. Decided to check another recent purchase of a bag of Romain lettuce at $3.09 ea weighing 24 ounces, 3 stalks, being sold mere feet away from the spinich. That's equal to $2.00 per pound. Spinich $4.00; romain lettuce $2.00. Who would have guessed? Publix sure knows how to pull the wool over our eyes, don't they? disgruntled Publix shopper

Who asked for a box store in North Titusville? We have Wal-Mart for that.We wanted an expanded Deli, Bakery, Seafood, Sushi. Instead they are cramed into adjacent isles, making shopping difficult. Still the same offering. Huge aisles of packaged items dwarf the...

Publix in Washington, District Of Columbia - What have you done to your bread it's dry an ful of holes

have you change the way you make your bread, I drive 2hrs to a Publix in GA. the last 3 visits have been disappointing I may as well just buy bread off the shelves. When I lived in FL. this never happened we were always satisfied and I find employees a little unfriendly they seem to keep their heads down like they are afraid of having to speak to the customer. As a public relations person I fine the unique way you use to do business is now a thing of the past.I feel my time and money is not valued.

Publix has jacked up their prices by $1.00 or more per item.

It's not bad enough when gas prices keep creeping up, but when publix jacks up thier prices on thier Publix brands (which are no where near the same quaility as the name brands)I just have to give a shout out! Yes we are in a recession and no I don't think the grocery stores should go broke trying to help us maintain a reasonable diet. Publix use to be the store where you could get quaility items for a price, but they also carried a bit lesser quaility items that matched most peoples budget. We would pinch pennies to save for that special holiday meal, knowing publix would have the best cuts of meat/poultry/pork/lamb and we would have to pay alittle more, but it was worth it. Now, it is cheaper to shop at Albertson, Walmart, Target, Doris's and you will find the same less superior product that publix is carrying and pay much less money. Today, when I needed to pick up some coffee, I stopped in Publix. I was shocked to see that publix had raised their price on the small package of coffee by more than a $1.00 and when I pointed this out to the dept. manager he said Publix had to raise their prices to keep in standing with the other grocery stores. And when I said how can publix charge more for their brand of coffee than the name brands, his reply was "publix just buys the coffee and put their name on so it needs to be in the same price range as Folgers and Maxwell house". Alrighty then, I think that was the nail in the coffin for the Publix Boys. Word of mouth can and always has been the means to the end if the right people do not open their ears and pay attention
