Publix in Gulf Breeze, Fl. Inventory? When?

Can't keep up with demand for Valor (No Sugar) 70% dark chocolate 3.5 oz. Bar? It's been 2 wks & they still don't have any as of 11/10/12 & the Manager was told. I go to Pensacola Publix on 9th Ave., they always have what you need & it seems they know how to Inventory and order more of something that sells well. This is probably our 6th experience of their being out. WHY does it take over 2 wks. to get some in??? They never have Lay's salt free potato chips either...we gave up on that one.

Unfortunately, the store will only bring in what sells. Not what is going to be on the shelves forever and a day till it expires. All grocery stores are the same.

Guest

I am a rep from Frito lay. In Florida, we only carry the lightly salted lays.

We don't make any "no salt" chips at this time. My competition, Wise, makes a no salt chip.

Guest

Valor Chocolate comes from KeHe or Tree of Life Supplier, depending on the region. It is orderable through store personnel, so shame on management for not investigating why it has been out for so long.

Frito Lay Salt-Free chips, comes from Frito Lay Supplier. Again shame on management for not notifying the Frito Lay Rep that their is a want for this variety.

Frito Lay is only going to bring in what makes them the most money. If the sat-free chips don't sell well, they won't bring them in, but the manager can insist that Frito Lay brings it in.

Publix, what a horrible place

I worked for Publix as a seasonal employee. We went to training for 2 days but when we went to the stotre we were the time they spent with the company.told to forget what "they saidD" The mgmt is not trained or apparently not considered by their yrs of mgnt experienced but promoted by the time they have spent in a job. Having been a store owner and business person I found this strange that young ppl using harsh and vulgar language were rewarded with promotions., I further realized that "cussing and swearing"about customers were common practice". The young man that was the Grocery Mgr had no problem with this and soon after he had a chance to hire a new ASM the news was clear. WE DON'T CARE, GET THE GOODS OUT AND PICK UP THE VOLUME. Publix loves to ad that they care, but they don't care about their employees or the public. x T

Maybe not all stores or manageres are the same but in my case I started as a bagger and worked my way up to grocery and after a year I got my fulltime because I'm a hard worker and I'm pretty good with costumer but I notice how other employes who work there longer than me hated working there and I didn't understood why. In the beggining my manegers loved the way I work and I saw publix as my future so I wanted to keep working my way up but then one of my manegers started try to misstreat me for no particular reason because I proved him wrong on something he brought to the store managers attention and after that I became enemy of the state.they would look for things to complaint about and I keep proving them wrong and when I try to ask my store manager about there behavior with me he simply laugh in my face and keep treating my like I didn't deserve to work there and it was a constant thing.

That one maneger who started everithing was my assistant grocery and he's pretty young to be a manager so I believe that that had to do with he's unprofesianlism and inmaturnes so when I realize that managers at publix take it personal with employees when they don't agree with them and they also retaliate when employees prove them wrong I just started going to school and got my degree so I'm not part of that place that's run by *** because only *** believe what they want to believe and run a business the way hitler run Germany when he was alive. I'm glad I'm not part of that place anymore and I'm happy whit my new job regardless off what anybody says.

As untrained as the managers are. You should be glad that you were hired in the first place with your level of spelling and grammar, because face it most companies don't hire those who have a second grade level of education. You want to be rewarded with a promotion go back to school and finish the second grade.

Pharmacists don't bother reading allergies on file

The Publix pharmacy at the store where I've shopped since 1987 has just shown how little they care about their customers. I have ON FILE that I'm allergic to blue dyes. Blue dyes cause me immediate, excruciating migraines, so I can't take them, but for all the pharmacist knows, blue dyes could cause an anaphylactic reaction. They don't care. I brought my prescription to them, and since I haven't had problems with getting this particular medication as blue pills before, I didn't check before I left the store. When I got home and took the bottle out of the bag to put it away, I saw they were blue pills. I was livid! What is the point of having your allergies on file if the pharmacist isn't even going to bother looking at it? So, I had to go out of my way to go back to the store to return them. I was quite willing to wait a week, if that's what it took for them to order them. Their answer, though, was that they couldn't get this medication in anything other than blue. I asked them if they could order them, and they said no, their supplier only has blue. Really? I highly doubt that. So, I spoke with one of the store managers, who spoke with the pharmacist and came back and said the same thing. I told him to his face that not only did I not believe it, but that it is horrible customer service to not be willing or able to order it from another supplier. I will certainly NOT trust Publix with any of my prescriptions again. The thing is, I would not have been upset if they had simply TOLD me when I had gone to pick up my prescription (I was doing my shopping there while waiting) that they were sorry, they saw I was allergic to blue dyes and that that is the only color they had and the only color they could get. I would have simply taken my prescription elsewhere. But, to fill it with blue pills when they have records saying I'm allergic to blue dyes is not only poor customer service but potentially dangerous. When I pointed out that where it said I was allergic to blue dyes, the pharmacist's excuse was that it didn't come up on the computer. So, again, what good does it do to have that on record if it doesn't show up when a prescription is filled? It's ludicrous that it wouldn't show up, and I don't believe that it doesn't, I think she was just trying to make it seem like it wasn't her fault. Yes, I know, I should have verified the meds before I even left the area. It should not be necessary to do that, but I should have done it anyway. Still, for the pharmacist to dispense it without paying attention to the allergy section is not just poor customer service but rather scary. What else are they not paying attention to? This is how people end up getting the wrong medications and dying, from pharmacists not paying attention.

You are the major reason dealing with the public sucks.. Complete psychopath

Andrea Ahw

I am a pharmacy tech, not for Publix. I have to back up the others here. A migraine is not an allergy. The software shows allergies to medication ingredients. The ingredient makes the pill blue. It is not being offered as a white pill by this manufacturer any longer. Generic drugs are made by many different companies and do not have the same ingredients.

And to say they should just order a white pill for you...are you that thick? There is a little things called a supplier contract. No pharmacy, I repeat NO PHARMACY can or will randomly just order something from random suppliers.

I would be interested in knowing exactly what medication you received. If you look at your bottle it will give you the manufacturer name. Google that, and you can get a detailed ingredient list for each of their drugs.

EDUCATE yourself.

Guest

1)A Migraine is NOT an allergic reaction. An allergic reaction is considered anaphylaxis, Hives, and acute swelling.

Migraine, headaches, dizziness, stomach upset, etc.. those are called intolerances, or side effects, or the placebo effect. 2) If the pharmacist stopped and checked EVERY SINGLE patient's allergies and compared them to the drug info every time, patients would never get their medication, The computer is supposed to flag the allergy when the drug info is compared to patient info. obviously that did not happen.

so if you are going to be mad at anyone me mad at the A) software company (for not inputting the medication info), B) The FDA C) The drug company (both for not making that info abundantly clear in the drug info) (if there even is blue dye in the medication) 3) Do you really think that the pharmacy wants to sit there and argue back and forth with you about ordering the medication? NO! So.. if they say they cannot order the medication.

They most likely cannot. Generic drugs are made by tons of different companies. So in the business world it is called supply and demand. so when demand is high so is the supply.

So if one manufacturer can supply the drug at a cheaper price than the other. retail pharmacy suppliers may discontinue carrying the medication, therefore they cannot supply Publix with the medication any longer. BTW i work in publix pharmacy, i hate publix with a passion, but i love the pharmacy and i love helping people.

but the ignorance you have shown here saddens me and reminds me that there is no hope for humanity. Have a good day

Guest

Ok lets think about this, the blue color is not dye it is what is used in the pill. Also you cant change the way the pill looks or else its a different kinda pill, thats how the DEA tells different pills apart. Your doctor, knowing what your allergies are should never have written you the script but I know you think your more likey to get something for nothen from publix and not the doctor so lets blame them.

In a midication we have in our house the blue IS dye. It says so on the long sheet that comes with the drug and many people DO have sensitivities to dyes.

In this day and age, you have to be your own advocate. If your file says you have a problem with blue dyes, mainly YOU have to keep track of that for yourself. I know a medication that was white and stopped being produced recently for sooome reason. The pharmacy sought another manufacturer and the pill is blue. Many people are not happy about that and it does put patients in a bad position.

You can ask your pharmacist to seek other manufacturers and hopefully someone else makes it in white. If not, there is no great solution. :(

It is a problem.

Publix - Employee treatment.

I have worked for the company for a few years. At first I loved it, but my costumer service manager at the time was a sexual harasser, he would ask way too personal questions or touch you, when he did that to me I drew the line backed up and sternly said "Sorry, I do not play like that." and he got the message and left me alone, and I would avoid him. He changed my hours from 30+ to 13 and less since that day. I thought it was in my head, until he got transferred because of this reason, and eventually had a lawsuit against him, and got fired since other female employers spoke out and called corporate.

Generally publix has been good to me, because I work hard and I've enver had any problems. Recently Publix has started to treat it's employers so badly it scares me.

Today, I had enough of it. There is a really hard working woman on my store, she has worked on my store for 4 years, and always had stellar reviews, her English skills are not perfect but she is taking classes and has no problem understanding it or responding. Costumers adore her, and you always see her working. At closing time we were all working together on the same aisle , some were just talking and fooling around, and she was leveling the aisle, focused on her task. The ***. Store Manager called her in front of all of us and told her to leave, even if she was scheduled to leave much later. (With all of us) He refused to let her keep working, she stated that she had not completed her hours and asked why was she the only one getting sent home early when there were others just fooling around. The ***. Manager answered that "There is no more work for you today, you are done, so just go. You are Hispanic you must get welfare and food stamps anyway, you don't need money" He said this to her in front of all of us closing and in front of a camera, (she doesn't get any government benefits btw ). When we went to speak to our Store Manager he told us that our ***. Store Manager "just has something against her, so there was nothing he could do" She has worked on that store for more than 4 years, always has a pleasant attitude and always comes to work when called in to replace someone. It really seemed unfair, that such things just go unpunished.

Our. Costumer Service Assistant manager, was changing the schedules today and messed up making someone work on a day she was not available, so she just called another employee who had some days unavailable because of college classes and she told him he HAD TO replace that employee and work her hours because "the store manager wants you to do this, if you do not it just means you do not need the hours so we will just give you less hours next week". After hanging up she laughed with another associate at the employee and how he had believed that lie and accepted and was scared for his job.

Last week, one of our baggers who recently stopped being a minor endedp up in the hospital due to food poisoning. His sister called in and told our manager that he was inside the Doctor's and that he was very weak and throwing up all day so he could not come in. Our manager responded that she did not believe it , that he had to come and bring her a medical excuse today or she would suspend him for a week and cut his hours. To our surprised, he came in wearing his hospital robe, the tag in his arm from the hospital, the papers of him being admitted and an excuse from his doctor. His mother also went with him and our manager was speechless. She cut his hours anyway the next week and gave him 10hrs, even if he was available to work any day/time.

Reading through this threads I found the numbers for corporate... I could go on and on...

We have gathered enough proof and we already got a lawyer into the case. The amount on proof unfair practices is HUGE.

Please do not let your store or situation turn into the one at my store... people get harassed even inside the store by managers, threating them to stay quiet or be prepared to lose hours and health benefits...

We got a store visit from upper Publix managers, they gave us all this number (863) 688-**** to call and explain the abuses at our store.

Please speak up, this does not happen in all stores, but it happens in some and very often! If it does not happen to you I'm glad, but if it does PLEASE call corporate, we lack an Union so we have to help each other, the number is anonymous and you can call on English/Spanish and Creole.

Main Publix Switchboard - (863) 688-****

Publix Stockholder Services - (863) 688-**** x-52323

There are great employees on Publix, but some forgot the Publix credo.

QUESTION - I have a co-worker who recently moved 30 minutes away from his current store. He talked to a store closer about transferring and they said they'd love to have him.

Just found out his current store manager told them they can't have him. How can he be blocked from transferring and what's his recourse?

I wasn't sexually harrassed I was just harrassed by my asst mgr, I have ptsd from physical abuse from my ex, and the asst mgr kept scaring me, I repeatedly asked her to stop, so did my coworkers. I talked to my mgr, nothing happened.

I became so freaked out that I would jump when someone came in my front door at home or someone would drop something. The asst mgr has called me fat, another associate ugly, she's so mean and rude. A new associate who is very sweet was jumped all over so bad she had to go outside and collect herself.

I told my STORE MANAGER how rude she is and that she wasted two quarter sheet cakes, well he told her I told him. This same asst mgr did my per, it was so bad...I've never had a bad per......I have not been back but I'm still calling corporate so they can see what they have.

Wow,sounds like my store. The management where I work is a joke and the abuse of employees is unreal.

I went to work there two years ago planning on a career but have since realized that is a joke unless you are related to someone in publix or are politically connected with the chain. I am a young male and need the job so I just put up with the ***,including sexual harassment from male and female, two occasions.

We even have employees working for their parents at the store, need I say more. Employees are constantly harassed if they are not with the cliché,to the point where they are intentionally screwed over with their schedules causing problems with home,2nd jobs or school.I do not recommend job seeking with publix, especially young teens.

Guest

As a spouse of a Publix employee I would like to know how it is you get rated "best place to work". What a joke.

I'd like to know who it is they use for the survey?? I'll tell you who they survey UPPER MANAGEMENT that's who. The people who make the money off of the backs of everyone underneath them. They want you to perform undo-able tasks in as little time as you can without going overtime with the least amount of help as possible.

Then there's the overtime BS. You actually get paid less the more overtime you work. WTH?????? My spouse is an assistant manager of a department, which for obvious reasons will remain unmentioned.

Spouse more than qualified for management position when spouse was first hired but noooo spouse had to learn the "Publix"" way which is double talk for we can pay you $225.00 take home for a while until you are ready to be promoted. Gets promoted to assistant manager and years later still no promotion to Management. They send spouse to a store and tell spouse "this is it this is the last store before you get promoted" years later still no promotion. Now supposedly they send spouse to these stores so spouse can work under managers that are to get spouse ready for promotion but in all these years not one stinking manager has been able to get spouse to the management position REALLY???

Interesting that your managers are incapable of doing this after so many years. Also said spouse has been sent to different stores and told that spouse is being sent there because the manager needs help because they are a little weak in their department,so said spouse gets sent to stores where the bonuses are less so said spouse gets less. Let's discuss the bonuses. Said spouse has gone into stores and totally changed the departments for the better. Associates have told said spouse on a number of occasions

that the department runs so much better since said spouse has been there.

But who you ask gets the big bonus???I'll tell you the manager of the department that can't do there job. What does said spouse get a 1/4 of what the manager gets.Said spouse has been told that a promotion will probably never come because of spouse age and gender.Store managers have told said spouse that they were really going to put a good word in for the next time a promotion was coming up,but the manager has been known to say that she will not put a good word in if she doesn't like you. So in reality the store manager can make or break you depending on whether they like you or not. Oh and by the way you are not allowed to sit in on these meeting either.

So you have no defense what so ever.As the spouse of this employee I am ready to seek out a Lawyer. District managers have been overheard saying they have to "Meet a quota as to who they promote". Shame on you Publixs for your shady treatment of you Employees and their families.

Signed FED UP!!

Publix-----insect infested pasta

Eight hours after purchasing a package of pasta from Publix, I noticed that it was infested with weevils. I returned to the store two days later and took a package of the identical pasta from the shelf and showed the manager that this package as well as their entire display of pasta was covered with insects.

He apologized and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. That was all he did. He did not ask for my name so that Publix could formally write me a letter of apology. He did not even offer to credit me for the purchase.

I then contacted Publix through their website and explained the incident. After receiving no reply, I contacted them again.

Both times, they acknowledge receipt of my comments but after 9 days, I have still not received any response from Publix.

Really you wanted a letter? Would that have made you feel so much better?

Your pathetic.

Have you ever found a bug in your house? Write yourself a letter and just write down ***.

Guest

At this time, Publix Supermarkets does not have a store in Pittsburgh.

Guest

No, you didn't want a letter of apology, you just wanted free things. Its a grocery store with thousands of items!

It happens!

Orkin is out once a week, it was a fluke.

Guest

I think I cut you off in traffic once. Send me your address. I want to write you an apology letter.

Dear Sir,

Grow up.

Bobbye Egs

We had the exact same problem with several bags/packs of pasta . We notified store.

It was disgusting..we had to spray..empty closet. :(

Guest

Why on earth would you expect a letter of apology from a store? I have never heard of this being done by any store.

I had a really hrbliroe time finding a good nursing bra. For my first two babies I bought a Playtex nursing bra and hated it.

It made me look really frumpy and it was uncomfortable. I ended up wearing one of my regular underwire bras and pulled the strap down when I nursed. Throughout the pregnancy I went from a C to a DD so, for me, I preferred underwire. With my third baby I found a REALLY great bra on eBay. It is an underwire by Wacoal and was half the price.

They come in light pink or blue. I even wore them for several months after I quit nursing because I would forget it was a nursing bra. They are also really well constructed in that the part of the bra close to your body is like a regular cup w/a hole in the middle. The outer piece looks like a regular bra.

It also gave me more of a normal look than the weird look I seemed to get from other nursing bras that I found locally. These are half the price that you would find them for in the store, if you can find them in the stores close to you at all.If you want, or can go with, an underwire these are the best!Oh yeah, for this bra you may want to wait until you start regularly nursing to decide on what size to get.

You may very well get larger. If a store somewhere close by has Wacoal bras then you could go try a similar non-nursing style on to figure out what size to get on eBay.

you must work for publix in some capacity? probably racist like the rest of them, part time employees are the reason publix survives.

Charging for an item without a tag or even from their store

Yesterday (July 23rd), I ran into a Publix Market in Delray Beach Florida to purchase 8 items. Incidently this is a Publix store I commonly refer to as "Getto Publix" because it's always dirty, sells expired food and the staff are nasty WHEN or IF they answer or speak to you.

So after I completed my purchase I came home and since my family is a Nielsen family (i.e. similar to the Nielsen TV ratings only we have a hand held scanner that records every shopping purchase and then we answer questions on line in surveys) I began to review my receipt to record my purchase. At the bottom of my receipt I see a charge for .99 that says just "grocery" next to it. It was a 9th charge and as I said I went for 8 items and as far as I knew ONLY purchased 8 items.

I began matching my items and found I did indeed NOT purchase a 9th item. I called the store who told me I needed to bring everything back to get a refund. Now I had amongst my purchases, Milk. LIVE CLAMS, and Ice Cream!

So, I went back to the store (6.7 miles away) to get this resolved. Well, come to find out the cashier charged me for MY OWN recycle bag that was (get this) PRINTED WITH THE NAME WALGREENS ON IT! So not only did she NOT take a tag off, scan the item or even see it, she just arbitrarily chose to charge me for it. And what really topped it off is after I started thinking about it, since I never put it on the belt for her to scan, never handed it to her, and there was no tag...

she OBVIOUSLY thought I was trying to steal it. FIRST of all it a was a bright green and they don't offer ANYTHING that looks like that and 2nd she could have ASKED. But you know, asking would be TOO much like customer service. Unfortunately, I would like to say this little .99 problem is the only problem I have ever had with Publix but it isn't.

Every time I go I have to check the prices, check my receipt and check my change. Also on the trip I purchased a 1/4 lb of white american cheese that was $4.29 a pound. I got home with 1/4 pound of cheese that was marked "Low Sodium Muenster cheese" that was $5.99 a pound!

It WAS my white American but I got charged $5.99 a pound. To top it off at the bottom of the receipt it said "We saved you $1.06 today" IT SHOULD HAVE SAID "WE STOLE $1.48 FROM YOU TODAY!

PUBLIX SUPERMARKETS ARE THIEFS AND I DON'T THINK THESE ARE ERRORS!

I'm sure the .99 was an honest mistake and judging by your attitude I'm sure the cashiers and baggers are AFRAID to say anything to you, much less ask you about your bag. Trust me when I say that Publix is not trying to steal from you.

How would they stay in business if this was the case across the board, and how would that store stay open. I think you are just a special case, and I guarantee the associates know exactly who you are when you come in the store and thats what makes them act that way toward you.

Treat them with a pleasant attitude and you'll get one back. They are human beings just like you, you undeserving *****.

Guest

Aside from your complaint about the added charge of 99 cents, you also decided to bash Publix saying how dirty, smelling of rotting food and very poor customer service. Looks like this didn't bother you as much as someone overcharging you 99 cents.

As for the cheese, you should have looked at the label when you got the cheese to make sure that what you bought had the right label on it.

Everyone makes mistakes and I don't think this was done on purpose. What I really don't understand is how you can shop at a dirty, snelly and horrible store?

Guest

I find it funny yout drove 6.7 miles for .99 cent. Thanks for the laugh. I am trying not to judge but you are s.t.u.p.i.d

Being Towed before shopping at our local Publix

Today my wife and I did our usuall routine. We went over to Treasure Island Publix and parked out side on the corner.

We always bring our 2 greyhounds with us and take them across the street for a quick bathroom break. Then we go inside Publix to buy Sunday dinner. It takes no more than 10-15 minutes for the dogs to finish. When we turned around headed back to our car it was pulled out across the street by a towing company (Prestage Towing).

The driver must have pounced on our car as soon as he saw us go acroos the street. I asked the tow driver to please stop and he said if I had $50.00 cash and could preduce it in 5 minutes he would stop. I ran inside Publix and spoke with the general manager. She told me they paged my license # on the loud speaker and when no one responded she ordered the tow.

I explained we shop there almost every sunday and bring the dogs for over 3 years. I asked her if she could help because I didn't have the $50.00 cash plus we had the dogs. She would not. Our car was towed with all my keys and the water for the dogs.

We were so upset we forgot everything in the car. We were stranded for over a half an hour getting a ride and then paying $155.00 to get our car out of the towing yard. We noticed the tow driver hiding behind a large bush embankment waiting for people like us with dogs to go across to the park. He calls the manager and tells her there is a car he has been watching for awhile what should he do?

They know were not in the store but they go through the protocall by calling out the license # to cover them selves. Again, we were outside tops 15 minutes and our car was already on the tow truck which means Prestege Towing jumped on it and the Publix manager would not listen to "great customers" at all. What a horrible experience.

Can you help us by telling our story? Michael & Sharon Karahalis 727-415-**** (Bay News Nine On Your Sida)

Publix is big on towing.they will watch you like an eagle here in University Blvd ,Tuscaloosa,AL .Next thing you know your car is being pulled by the towing company. They will hire some parking boy to get your car if they see you away from the store.

Guest

You probably shouldn't have parked there. Don't bring dogs in the store unless you need them.

Guest

You are not entitled to park wherever you feel like leaving your car! You can solve the problem by letting the dogs urinate on your own property.

Then you can leave them at home when you go shopping. I wish more people paid consequences and were inconvenienced when they took liberties they aren't deserving of.

Guest

working at publix as an hourly is the worst thing imaginable - And now the full time mgrs have a class action lawsuit for the illegal way px calculates overtime - breaking every law codified in the Nat'l Labor Relations Act. Backpay (or as I call it PayBack) will be ten of millions of dollars, with annual corrected overtime pay running about two mollion a years.

If Banks got caught doing this they would be closed down and someone would go to Jail. Px corporate are no better than thiefs and their store mgrs are paid mouth pieces that try to cover their ***.

When this lawsuit settles - UNION for all hourly!!!

Guest

Seriously you wanted Publix to pay for you parking you'r own car in a tow away zone. How is this Publix's fault you are the *** *** that parked in the wrong spot. Be a real man and take responsibilty for you'r own actions don't blame Publix for you being a fool.

Guest

8 On Your Side, Channel 9, BBB and their corporate in Orlando. Now does it add up for you.

They refunded the towing fee in a money order on 08/16/12.

The T.I. store said they were sorry but they do not compensate for the humiliation we recieved from the towing company or the store manager.

I don't know why you wouldnt already contacted the news if this story was true. Something is not adding up with this story.

John N Mzy

This is a (barely)legal scam. The Publix manager(most likely)is in league with the towing company and gets a "commission" on all cars towed.

Their excuse is that non-customers are using parking spaces meant for valid customers. I suggest you do two things: find out the number of Publix corporate and complain about the scam and then tell everyone you know about it and suggest they not shop there---as you no longer will.

Publix cooked dinner

We ordered a Publix turkey and ham dinner with several sides two days in advance and called before going to the store. When it was picked up, it was supposed to be fully cooked.

Everything was frozen, including the turkey, which had to be defrosted in a microwave. We had planned on having it ready for friends coming directly from work but it took well over two hours of cooking before everything was ready to serve. When something is advertised as fully cooked, you don't expect to have to defrost it first.

Publix should advertise their dinners as frozen pre-cooked dinners and save people a lot of aggravation and dissatisfaction. Never again.

The problem is that they turkey is frozen solid and takes 2/5 hours to "cook". It probably should be defrosted as well. Definitely misleading and I won't be doing it again.

Andrea Ahw

You misunderstood. There is no way in heck they could provide HOT ready to eat meals on Thanksgiving day. They are fully cooked, then refrigerated or frozen, for YOU to heat before your dinner. From the Publix website regarding holiday precooked meals:

Publix Deli Turkey Holiday Dinners

Publix Turkey Dinners

The centerpiece of the traditional holiday feast is a succulent, Publix Deli Fully Cooked Turkey. Ours simply requires heating before serving.

Guest

The fact is that it was fully cooked. It just wasnt hot.

YOu have to heat it but it was most definitly cooked. At the same time the person working should have told you it would be cold.

Guest

Even for a Publix employee, this is an unintelligent statement. Cold food is not cooked.

Andrea Ahw
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-591285

Seriously?? I have a ton of leftovers in my fridge that are most definitely cooked and most assuredly cold.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-591285

......... i am just hysterically laughing! "cold food is not cooked"

Windel Tht

Devil in the details my hind quarters, fact should be simply, if you advertise it and sell it make sure your customers are happy.

However since publix bought all relevant competition and drove and drove mom and pop stores out of business, what we are left with now is overpriced junk.

Guest

The devil is in the details. Seldom do they list the short comings of thier products in the retail world.

The buyer beware is the first rule of shopping, always keep that inmind and you will find yourself buying alot less headaches in your life. Also you will buy less overall, as you see that most sale items have a downside, old tech, refirb product, frozen not fresh, BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED.

Feel bad for the people who work at publix, especially in IT where they are bullied

Since the CIO took over about 5 yrs ago she has single handily forced most people to quit through intimidation, lying and plain bullying with her minions she brought with her. Long term good hard working employees who loved their company are left crying, without jobs or now working under such horrible circumstances in fear for their jobs .

This pattern it apparent across the entire IT organization. I wonder who at Publix HR notices that once stellar employees are now poor performers and why they are not doing anything about it? I wonder why the CEO and President are looking the other way.

It is certainly not in the best interest of the company and a liability.

Yet another IT Delivery manager has a run in with someone under him and what happens, the manager physically attacks the associate. What happened to the manager?

Well all that has happened so far is that he was demoted.

Why wasn't this manager fired on the spot? This really shows you how upper management works at this company.

Guest

Dinesh Patel everyone hates that guys guts. He is a midget and looks like a frog on crack.

What a loser, proof of just how *** upper mangement is letting this fool exist. He has them all fooled.

That guy couldnt get a date with a $1000.00 bill stapled to his forehead. His wife is so fat that he rolls in bed three times and he is still on the ***!

New flash I heard Publix has finally demoted Dinesh Patel, only after receiving a million dollar fine. Lack of security policy regarding the ATMs.

Funny stuff but a few months back Dinesh Patel's resume showed up on my desk. I called him laughed in his face on the phone then threw it in the trash where it belongs. Dinesh Patel is not intelligent enough to walk chew gum and tie his shoes at the same time.

Guest

The IT Department has a delivery Manager named Dinesh Patel who is a biggot and racists. He only promotes his indian people. What a joke this guy couldnt manage a Dennys

Guest

HR does not notices becusa publix has it own HR ... CEO and presidents don't care cuz they make the most $$$ so why would they care about the littler people in the store who work the hard's "THAT MAKE THEM RICHER" I like to see them put 8 or 10 hours shif...

in at the bottem ...

!! :(

Guest

These people are just plain dummies. Publix best place to work what a joke.

They need 800 IT professionals to support 1140 stores. At the Stock exchange we had 100 people supporting millions.

Everyone was a true IT professional not a grocery store bagger turned IT professional. You get what you pay for nobody there makes any real money

Guest

I've worked at Publix for 7 years now and the IT division is one of the worst places to work in Publix (not that the other departments are better). Management doesn't care about their employees nor do they listen to them.

Two people from our division have already quit this week and I will be doing so very soon. You try to do the right thing and do your job conscientiously but they don't care about you in the least bit. They promote idiots and 'yes' men who make the rest of us miserable. I hope all these managers get what's coming to them one day.

Once I quit, I will never work at Publix again. Publix: Where shopping is a pleasure but working there is ***.

Shopping at publix? no no no!

Hello, Why do i hate publix? Very easy and basic! a) milk gets curdled before the expiration!! this happens so often! so many complains about this, and yet nothing they have done. I pay $3.5 and the milk gets bad. That is wrong!!! b) and here is "Publix's #1 scam tool" which is not changing the price tags but making sure that the price is changed in the computer. They are just too smart and they believe that the customer will not catch what they do . Right? That's why they have those big signs saying "if we over charge, you get your full money back and product will be for free". They know that people don't check the receipt, so what the ***, lets not change the price tags. Or let me ask you this way ; "why do they NOT update the price tags first and then change the price in the computer?" Basically i bought 8 bags of frozen veggies around 10 days ago (brand; eat smart or some brand like that) the price tag said "buy one get other for free" ...so when i went to the register i was charged $2.5 each, moreover the cashier claimed that i was wrong with the price. It took her 10 minutes to get figured it out. After giving me the refund for the difference, she did not allow me to buy all the bags that i already had in my basket. She kept some back. What does this mean? How cheap is this? That is a very old game that publix plays. HAve you ever bough a product where the tag was more than what you actually paid? NO ! why ? because they update their computer first instead of changing the price tags. No more publix. Period.

Just an fyi to all the wonderful consumers claiming "SCAM! SCAM!"

Every week there are price changes.

100+ price changes. Things going up; things going down; things coming off sale. The task of changing these tags, for the most part, fall onto one, maybe two, people. Yes, mistakes happen.

But calling them scammers is a joke. If you honestly believe these things happen on purpose and are some evil conspiracy by Publix, Inc, go shop somewhere else. Go shop at walmart. Publix doesnt need your business or your money.

And also fyi, the price is automatically changed via software sent through from corporate. The store managers are sitting in the office smoking cigars and laughing with a sinister laugh, basking in the glory of screwing over customers out of 30 cents.

But if a price mistake IS made, you get a refund and the item for free.

But again, please go shop somewhere else. The employees work way too hard to have to deal with your *** and, mainly, your stupidity.

First B

You have four complaints against this company why go back then?

Guest

maybe you should check you fridge and see what temperature its set on. you could be like every other customer an bring it back the day before its ready to expire with 1/4 of a gallon left and they will replace it for you, with a smile on their face.

and i would like to see you change every price tag in that store, we are all human and people make mistakes. You got one product for free and the rest at the sales price, that is a Publix Promise for when the product rings up wrong. Deal with it.

Publix isn't out to SCAM you. SMH

Why are they allowing children to use this website? Does this site not follow COPPA regulations? Only a child would assume that because someone post a positive comment defending a company they work for the company.

Andrea Ahw

Get a job there and change the tags. There. You know their job better than they do anyway.

I've shopped at publix my entire life and never had an issue like you're claiming... what the *** is wrong with you?

Price increases

This is not a complaint so much as a comment regarding the price hikes on certain items at Publix. Banannas were fifty nine cents last week....this week up by ten cents a pound. Bryers Ice Cream at Walmart is nearly half the price compared to Publix. Also, V8 Diet splash is $1.98 at Walmart and nearly three dollars or more at Publix. I am sure there are more items that price comparison would show more favorably toward Walmart. I have friends who have the same shopping experiences. Many of us only shop Publix for items not available at Walmart.

Have fun shopping at Walmart! let us know how clean their stores are!

Guest

haha what? go shop at walmart then with all the disgusting white trash people and dirty stores and *** all over the floors.

at publix you don't just pay for the items, you're paying for the cleanliness of the store, the customer service, not waiting in a huge line, etc. go shop at walmart.

Guest

Are you being serious? Go f^cking shop at walmart then, I mean d@***n.

Publix is a multi-billion dollar company. What the heck does it matter to them where you shop? Jeez. Publix, yeah has higher prices on SOME things.

But when you shop the ad and the BOGO, it's awesome.

No one has a gun to your head forcing you to shop there. :x

Guest

Why don't you go shop at walmart and stand in line for 2 hours....Some of us have a life and want to to get in and out with friendly service. I would rather pay extra for that quality service!

Publix makes me angry

I work as customer service office staff at a publix in north Georgia. I bend over backwords for my employer and to ensure customers are leaving happy.

Unfortunately I am left with no choice but to question every customer complaint and potential refund due to the amount of *** artists that take advantage of the customer service industry. It seems to be that people take advantage of the idea that we can give you money for dissatisfaction essentially. My previous manager told me to refund at my own discression. My newest manager basically tells me to give everyone money no matter what.

Im sorry but you shoppers who think you can come in wearing sunglasses and or talking a million miles per hour without a receipt or item to speak of need to wise up and face reality. What you are doing is wrong and you are taking advantage of young and or underpaid employees. My current managers do absolutely nothing to discipline the employees or stick around enough to help support employees that are being taken advantage of. They just don't really care.

No matter how well or poorly you did on your last 6 month period you stay on their corporate payscale. I know one of the employees at my store even has a goatee the managers do not care. I once had managers that would sendemployees home if they didn't want to do teir work or had facial hair.

This is making it an unfair and unfriendly work place. I am not paid enough to close the store deal with angry customers and control the employees and their attitude and appearance.

Enjoyed this post, Ron, and I've seen some of these justifications up-close and pesnoral.a0 Until someone steps up and deems . . .

Guest

If you are in the Customer Service area, do your job. I don't believe you were hired to control, rat, or discipline any employee.

Publix has a policy that states that if the customer is not completely satisfied with the purchase, they can bring it back for a full refund.

NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Leave the managing to the managers and just do the job you were hired for.

I work for publix and I know what thay are talking about...we understand if there was somthing wrong with the product...but its different when you eat over majority of the cake a bring it back and say it nasty...or you buy chip..bread ..a deli meat and you make your mean and bring the rest back..or you leave cold or frozen food out at home and bring it back because you forgot and it went bad.

Guest

I agree with NeNe wholeheartedly. Don't try to do work above your paygrade.

Let the managers manage and you do what your paid to do at customer service. What you fail to realize is that retail is all about repeat business. If you let a customer leave unhappy, they won't come back. Sure there are those who take advantage but for every one like that there are 100 who don't.

It's all about the big picture. Managers get paid to see it and you don't.

Guest

@ NeNe Leakes

You can't tell cashiers this, I have said 1 million times that they just need to focus on being a cashier and not on doing other stuff. They aren't going to get a raise for ratting on other people.

I hate people taking advantage but honestly how many people in this world can say they NEVER EVER have. Not one.

Guest

i seriously disagree with those comments. i worked in the deli and she hit the nail on the head.

my store here in lakeland is the same way. if they dont like the milk but still drank it?

no problem they will get their money back plus another gallon for free. its ***.

Guest

Seriously you say you are good worker, but it seems like you are too busy seeing how other people are working than doing your job. Also to comment about employees and their work habits to make yourself look better shows bad workmanship skills and shows you are not a team player.

That is your major issue. You are so full of yourself and have to get others in trouble to make yourself look good.

Guest

Welcome to the world of *** people who take advantage of a good thing and will eventually ruin it for everybody. Unfortunately, you just told some MORE piece's of *** how to take advantage.

Guest

Sweetie, why are you trying to be a manager when you are not paid to be one? You'd be a lot happier if you'd just do your job and leave things out of your control to those who do control them.

MANAGER PROFILING CUSTOMERS WHO USE COUPONS

I HAVE A COMPLAINT ABOUT PUBLIX IN MARIETTA GA 30062. LAST NIGHT WHEN I WENT TO PUBLIX I WAS LOOKING FOR THE SPRING GATHERING BOOK OF COUPONS AND THE MANAGER THAT WAS AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK HANDED ME ONE OF THEM AND SAID THAT IS ALL THAT I CAN GET...WHEN I WENT BACK IN THERE TODAY FOR SOMETHING ELSE, SHE MOVED THE ENTIRE STACK OF COUPONS FROM THE DESK AND WAITED TIL I WAS ABOUT TO CHECK OUT BEFORE SHE PUT THEM BACK.

I MADE ANOTHER MANAGER AWARE OF THIS AND HE SEEMED TO AGREE WITH HER. HE SAID THAT THE COUPONS GO TOO FAST, ETC...AND IT WASNT UNTIL I SAID THAT I WAS GONNA CALL CORPORATE THAT HE EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED THAT SHE COULD HAVE DONE THIS DIFFERENTLY. I AM SO SICK OF THESE PEOPLE, BUT WITH COUPONS I CAN GET MY ITEMS FREE SO I AM NOT GONNA STOP GOING HERE.

I THINK THAT THEY NEED TO GET BETTER WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS SAME MANAGER IS MAD BECAUSE THEY HAD A COUPON FOR $2 OFF AN ITEM THAT WAS $1.07 AND I MADE 93CENT EACH ITEM THAT I GOT...BUT IT WAS THEIR COUPON, PRINTED IN THE GREEN FLYER...WHY GET MAD AND YOU ARE THE ONE WHO OFFERED THE DISCOUNT.?

The use of coupons is highly praised and encouraged, but the fraud, abuse and misuse has tainted this money savings option. I can understand that placing the booklet behind the counter allows the store to better ensure that ALL or as many customers share in this program, and if done properly would allow the management to meet and greet their customers.

Alas this was not quite the case in this scenario. In addition, manufacturers want you to buy their products thus using coupons, but consumer beware...coupons are a loss leader to bring you into an establishment and purchase other goods to allow the store to make profits and keep employees employed. It is unfortunate that that the dishonest people that come into a store feel the need to hoard ALL the coupons for themselves and not allow others to take advantage of savings. Also, these same people also take coupons and resell them on such sites as EBay thus profiting off of the retailers and manufacturers.

There are basically 2 types of coupons, manufacturer and store. Just so you know, the coupon booklet in question was STORE coupons which means the store uses its own profits with no reimbursement other than hoping customers remain loyal and use the coupons as intended. In summary, I applaud you for being a saavy shopper and knowing value when you see it, but please understand that their intentions were to ensure ALL customers get to take advantage of the coupons and have enough products in stock for all.

That logistical nightmare is another topic. I hope this quells some tempers for all.

your flyer of 7/17-7/25 is misleading. I thought that the rainier cherries was $2.49 buy one get one free.

That was the only price for cherries onthe flyer.Needless to say when I went to the store the price for the rainier cherries was $5.99 per lb. I feel that you need to make your advertisement clearer.

Guest

I AGREE!! Your right.

Thanks for your input. I also know what the Lord would have me to do that is why I take items to the local fire station to the firefighters, and to the womans shelters for battered woman and children...but you know...getting involved in MEANINGLESS arguments is also warned against in the word of God, so I WONT do that.!! You win...there you go. FEEL BETTER??

its not that serious..WHY? because I am amongst the HAVES and I will ALWAYS HAVE!! WHY?

because I am willing to coupon and endure what I have to in the pursuit of feeding and providing for my family...but your views are so closed minded I'm sure I am on section 8, live in projects, dont work, have a house full of kids...etc etc...These comments are eye opening..and I honestly respect everyone enough to respect your views...!! Thanks for sharing and happy savings!!

Guest

Also stop using religion into this. A good religious person would not hoard all the coupons, they would want the lord to teach them to share with others and not abuse the coupon policy, to be honest.

Guest

They probably no longer work there because they quit because of dealing with customers such as you. Nothing to do with the cameras.

You are allowed to use coupons but you have to share and not take them for yourself. You are not being profiled for using coupons, you are being profiled for abusing them and acting like a four year old.

Guest

Kari

If a customer is being down right unreasonable she deserves to be judged by others. If other people's replies hurt her she should not be posting. Like everyone else here she is complaining about not having rules changed for her.

Guest

We have perfect reading comprehension. We are also not dumb enough to believe everything the OP said unlike some person who posted. Also maybe she imagined them moving the coupons from her, and perhaps she left out the part where she kept demanding more than one coupon book.

Guest

I WONT take time out of my day to return needless insults. It is what it is with Publix and I KNOW what was happening in the stores while I was shopping.

I will have you to know that I take HOURS preparing my shopping trips and I take my couponing serious. I shop and save and YES I get FREE items...thats my choice to use coupons and get deals as well as its YOUR choice not to...NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE desires to be profiled and to be clear about this the person involved is NOT LONGER EMPLOYED at Publix AFTER REVIEW OF THE CAMERA!!

so, just to make this clear...I dont have to beat the system...I simply find sales, match coupons and feed my family...Thanks everyone for your feedback positive or negative...I KNOW that ALL things work together for the GOOD of those who LOVE AND TRUST the LORD, so...even the negative comments work for my good!!! Good day, and happy savings....A SPECIAL PRAYER FOR THOSE WHO FELT THE NEED TO BE ON THE ATTACK...MAY GOD SOFTEN YOUR HEARTS AND SHOWER HIS LOVE UPON YOU....

:sigh Wow! Reading each of these comments really just shocks me.

This site is for consumers to warn other consumers, which in itself is a great idea. I did'nt realize that if you make a comment you will be not only judged by people you have never met, but ripped up one side and down the other. I believe, (and it is obvious others do to) that "Quienna" has a right to "caution" others about her experience, she did this so that consumers in her area would be alert to this. It disappointed her to say the least.

Publix's slogan states "Where shopping is a Pleasure", this encounter was clearly not pleasurable, and she has the right to share. It is sad to see each of us trying to emotionally "dig" into each other. It really isn't relevant what your name is, or if you do name your child "Billie Bob,Sarah, or Lakesha. It is not relevant what hue your skin is either, what is relevant, however, is that we are all human beings.

Instead of trying to undermine somebody's confidence by using comments to deflate them, we should maybe try to thank her for sharing her opinion with us. Quienna's observation may assist you and I in becoming more cognizant the next time we are at Publix, of this type of biased behavior.

That is, I am sure, what her motive behind the comment was. It certainly was not so she could expose herself to interpretations that show just how ignorant we have become to each other and what we as Americans stand for.

High Prices and Food for Pigs

I have purchased produce and other grocery products from Publix in Ormond by the Sea and find that their prices are too high for food that should go to feed hogs with. I bought strawberries that looked great but tasted like cardboard, tangerines that needed to be skinned rather than peeled. The tangerines had flavor that was so awful and then noted the next day that they had molded. Mushrooms that looked great on top in the package but underneath that they were slimmy and nasty. This is all on one purchase and this has happened to us numerous times. Like buying fish that when taken home directly from the store to prepare smelled like ammonia. Crab legs (snow crab) that when steamed they also smelled like ammonia. This goes on and on and yet their prices for their products are beyond reasoning. Such as 3 limes for close to 2 dollars, and selling products that belong in a bucket to be delivered to the pigs as that is how bad the items seem to be. This country needs a better controller for these products as leaving it to lazy employees and managers at Publix is not what we need. It says where shopping is a pleasure but it is not. They need a new saying such as Publix where hog food is priced high and if you get lucky you might find some that you can eat. I have contacted headquarters many of times but that lazy &)&_&)%_+ does nothing more than agree with you and then does absolutely nothing. They even have a sign at the counter that if you are not fully satisfied we will gladly refund you upon request with a smile. Well that is only a sign as the smile only comes upon request. Who are they fooling as it seems they use the poor folks that are retired and can only afford a bit of groceries for themselves and are afraid to complain. Well I say the *** with them and we need to find out who is out there to protect the people from crooks like this. Publix seems to of gotten to big for their britches and they have forgotten what true principals are.

First off as a publix employee you can kiss my *** for calling me lazy, second you cant help if fresh produce does not taste as good as it looks, like I am sure you look like a nice person but are truly an ***. There is a rule in the produce department at publix.

It says that we will let you sample anything there, I cut all kinds of fruit for people to try so that they know they like what they are getting but some people would rather *** then use this system.

I want as many people to shop at publix as we can get but if they are doing like you just to see what they can get free then go to wal-mart. Trust me you will miss us before long.

Guest

I don't shop there anymore and since we are having another store that is not a Publix the area is becoming happier. If you want to try and buy groceries at Publix in Ormond Beach, Florida you are welcome.

We live directly across the street from there and would love to see someone go in there and buy that *** from that store. If you have anything to say to me don't because I can tell one fool from the other and complain or take your lies to someone who really cares.

For those who are serious and need to get this resolved complain directly to Publix headquarters as they are the ones that do not do anything about it. Why, it is because they don't care.

Jamal Buz

then shop somewhere else. If it is that bad and makes you that unhappy don't keep going back. If i get kicked in the *** by a mule everytime I enter the back of the barn eventually i go through the front!

Guest

You must be that same *** that goes from site to site trying to push this ammonia laden seafood myth. You probably got a smile with your refund at first, but as you became a chronic complainer, they all see you coming and leave the less fortunate one to deal with you.
