Publix in Atlanta, Georgia - CraZy people
When we sell items if you look at the sign by the item, you will either see low price which means it is regular price but it is an item we are advertising. When it has a price in the right corner, then the item is on sale. If you look in the sales flyer you will see what is on sale or not. Honestly we do not try to scam people. I let customers know what it means. Don't bad mouth until you get the facts. Up here in Georgia we really do care. I am sorry you had a bad experience. I hope that gives you some perspective
Publix wanted me to wait!
I ordered a loaf of Caraway Seed Rye Bread and a loaf of Cinnamon Raison Bread on Friday, March 15 to be picked up on Sunday, March 17 at noon. When I arrived at 12:30, I was advised it would be another 60-90 minutes before my Cinnamon Raisin Bread would be completed and then it would be more time because I wanted it sliced! What??!! Why is this suddenly my problem?!? I placed the order on Friday (during the day) for a pick-up on Sunday. When I asked why, I was advised the dough was frozen. Why is this my problem? It's not. I complained to their corporate office which get the e-mail shot down through their chain of command. It's been over 1 week with promises of a response and receiving nothing. Didn't have problems like this over on the Gulf Coast (Palm Harbor/Tarpon Springs). If there were other decent grocery stores, this wouldn't have happened. Competition makes companies either sit up and take notice or just swirl their way down the drain. This bread was needed for a specific reason!
Publix - Poor Management
Read this article and saw where 5 people have stated this is all BS. However, folks, this is far from BS. Unfortunately this circumstance really happened and continues to happen to employees, within this company. It is unfortunate that such a good company, with an excellent Corporate Headquarters, does not take note and correct the evident problems. It is truly time for a change. Where service and shopping is suppose to be a pleasure, has turned into a ground loaded with multiple suspensions and terminations. HOW SAD that a company of this magnitude does not see the forest through the trees. There is a huge harware store who went through a similar situation and actually stopped hiring anyone over 40 years old. They have taken note of their past mistakes and have made many changes, all in the right direction.
Hello all, I already posted my thoughts about Publix's scam many months ago. I have seen people making comments about my thoughts saying "why don't you work for publix and change the tags" or "that is not true, you are making this up" etc. First of all, I do not make...View full review
I buy as little as I can at Publix, mostly just the 2-4-1's. As if the prices are not high enough, when the tourists come to town they jack them even higher! Today - Tomatoes - $4.09 per pound, and the all time topper - a head of lettuce for $2.09!!! (that is an...View full review
Publix in Winter Springs, Florida - Turned away by pharmacist
I went to publix and handed my script to the tech and asked if they had my medication since it is very difficult to fill each month. There has been a shortage for awhile. Anyway. The tech asks the pharmacist and the pharmacist yells from 15 feet away that he promised that type of medication to someone else and wouldnt have the exact amount. I said that would be fine if i lost some because i needed to fill my medication. The pharmacist proceeded to scream that he is choosing not to fill the script and to leave because it is his discretion to fill for whomever he chooses.
Publix - Poor store Management
I was employed for this company for almost 6 years. I lived in Georgia and was transferred into South Carolina. Driving time daily was 3 hours. No real increase to compensate for driving time/wear and tare on automobile. I ask for transfers but was continually told there were no full time positions available at any other stores. However, upon checking each store had hired a full-time person. My transfer was constantly denied. The store acquired a tyrant for a store manager, who continuously demeaned and micro-managed, and ridiculed anyone he thought he could get by with his behavior and constant lying to Corporate Headquarters. Some department Managers do not complete the evaluations according to the truth in order to demean an employee for suspension or dismissal. The corporate Headquarters is extremely professional, however, if they are given false information by the Store Manager or a Department Manager, the Corporate headquarters has no alternative but to believe their Management team. Finally the Store Manager made a statement to another Manager that was extremely sexual and that is when the Corporate Headquarters stepped in and decided that the employees were not complaining for no reason. I was transferred and demoted from full-time to part-time. I maintained full-time hours while being listed as a part-time employee. This was completely unfair, and the Corporate Headquarters never did anything about my situation. I have left. However, the Manager with the sexual exploitation has been transferred into the Pooler Georgia. With just a smack on the hand. He cried to the Corporate headquarters that he suffered from too much medication from an accident and that caused him to have his LITTLE fits of anger. This story is so far from the truth. This man should have been fired. The manager from the store who demoted me has been transferred into Hilton Head. He talks on his cell phone all day long plus tunes into face book constantly. Still the corporate Headquarters does nothing about this. The Store Manager from Pooler Georgia was transferred into the Hardeeville South Carolina Store and was unfortunately used as an example of what this company can do to a Manager. He actually is a company man. This Company seems to choose to ignore the serious situations that should be addressed and address the less offensive I believe that , unfortunately Publix is declining in this particular Division and someone should actually take charge and look deeper into these Store Managers and their behavior. Two of these Managers manage they way they want no according to policy. Several of the Deli Managers seem to think they are above the Law when it comes to defamation of character
Publix - Clermont
Publix Clermont FL is one of the worst managed stores in the area. I just spent 2 1/2 hours shopping - I had to request items from two employees because there was none on the shelf. The first employee took only a few minutes, the second left me hanging about 15 minutes. I tracked her down, and then she said she announced to have the department manager call her but no one called her back. Then I went to the seafood counter. I had to wait for about 10 minutes while the employee waited on the customer in front of me. She did however acknowledge me and thanked me for waiting. While standing there someone took my cart. The store was full as it was a holiday - and several employees tried to help me find the customer who unknowingly took it. We couldn't find it and when I asked customer service to make an announcement asking customers to check their carts - they refused and when I explained that two items in the cart were the last ones on the shelf, no one offered to look and see if they had more in the back. Several times I have asked for items and was told that the item was discontinued and the manufacturer quit producing them....I have been buying these for over a year at another Publix store closer to my work. I have also noted and complained that the hot food items in the deli are not prepared to offer customers a variety (i.e. plenty of fried chicken 8 pc. but no rotisserie chicken or dark meat fried or vice-versa). I had to resort to special ordering and buying in bulk food items because the store won't stock the item in sufficient enough quantities to meet customer demand - and I have voiced the complaint with each special order. WAKE UP MANAGEMENT!
Publix in Augusta, Georgia - Company no longer cares about customer service
Publix used to care about their customers. Now they seem to be like anyone else in town. There is never enough cashiers or baggers. There always having there own conversations and forgetting about the customers. Where are the so called Managers you can never find them. Publix says the care about there customers and customer service I'd like to know what store that is because it doesn't happen at any of the Publix stores I have shopped at. Publix needs to learn what true customer service is because they don't have a clue. Shame on you Publix,
PUBLIX IN ZEPHYRHILLS FL
OK I don't shop there alot, but Lord who is watching these employees? First they over charge me at the register, I tried to nquire about it. Only to get back talk, so I just kept my mouth shut (not normal for me) however I did tell them I will not be back! What does the bag girl do? she comes out to the parking lot, and gets in front of my vehicle so I cannot back out of the parking space, all the time smiling at me. I finally back out and she grabs a cart and gets in front of me stands there for about 7 minutes just smiling! I had my lights on, i honked the horn to no avail. I have done nothing to these people. Guess that is why the parking lot was pretty empty! I thought ok 2 can play this game, so I busted them on FaceBook still doing it with every post, my signature for all emails even work states how publix is run like a playground with no adults at bay. I will not be a friend of anyone that goes to that store. They want to hire monkeys, then by all means keep your zoo. Good Luck, your going to need it.
