There are over a decillion intelligent life beings on other planets, and none of them has ever celebrated Christmas (and none of them ever will celebrate Christmas). Think about that, out of all the intelligent life beings in all of the universes, 99.9% of those intelligent life beings don't celebrate Christmas ever (with only earthlings celebrating it) My reaction you ask ? AH YEAHHHH, YEAH BABY YEAHHH I want this message given to every Publix worker and shopper as a Christmas present. I want all of you to think about this on Christmas Day (while you all are getting drunk and eating your disgusting Christmas cookies) I wish all of you a UnMerry Christmas

I am tiered of seeing and ignore so today is the day... I was at your store in west Miami looking for organic color greens well well they were so bad that I couldn’t believe that managers of this dept. can’t verify and supervisor the goods, shame shame on you. They were so yellow, brow etc. not even good enough to give to the pigs, cows, and others. I called the employee’s attention not much of explanation due to poor English and she and he were not supervisors, I ask for the fresh good supervisor and no way to find..... after I paid my groceries I saw a young lady and told her my concerns and dissatisfaction she was of one of the supervisors.... just apologized..... bla bla bla ..... I leave 2 blocks away from this location but I rather go to my old location in the Gables on le Jeune rd. PLEASE MAITAIN YOUR SHELVES CLEAN AND ATTRACTIVE..... I don’t need you but you need me and my family to do business with you.

Publix is sure not overpaying if this associate is working 30 hours a week, only the managers are overplayed and publix is overpriced, so where does that leave Publix associates? Overworked.

What does the combination of being overpriced and managers being overpayed do for Publix? Customers are starting to shop elsewhere and employees are leaving for jobs that pay better and not being overworked.way to go publix

Hows the turnover rate in the deli?

Guest

You got it right, not only is publix a cult, the company does not pay its fair share of taxes, they also donate to charities but not to help people in need like they say, but to get tax credits, if those tax credits were taken away, publix would not give the charities a penny. And you are right someone needs to sue publix big time

Thanksgiving Dinner

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased the pre-cooked turkey breast Thanksgiving dinner. The potatoes were watery, due to be frozen, and the cornbread stuffing was so salty that not one of us had more than the first bite!

highly disappointed. This was the first---and now only time I will buy from Publix. I decided not to cook after having family medical needs to tend to and just not feeling up to the work.

It sounded and looked like a nice way to have family together without too much fuss, but actually turned into a huge disappointment. Boars Head Turkey from the deli topped with gravy would have been better than the Publix dinner:(

Resolved: Rude Associates Never Heard a Baby Cry Before

I had a very miserable experience at Publix tonight thanks to four associates. My husband and I went into this Publix around 8:00 p.m.

on 7 December 2016 with our baby, intending to only be there about 5 minutes to pick up a few things. Our baby started crying as we were leaving. One of the other customers started being rude to us about our baby crying (which of course isn't Publix's fault) and telling us what we needed to do with our child and stopping her cart just to scowl at us. She got up to the registers before us and started to spread the rumor on what bad parents we were because our baby was crying.

May I remind you, this is AS WE ARE LEAVING to obviously tend to our child. When my husband and I get up to the register we get death stares from two of their cashiers and two of your baggers. I explain that my baby is just crabby and fighting sleep. One of baggers/cashiers walks up to me and starts making demands to me on how to take care of my child.

The other bagger and two cashiers chime in as well, being completely rude and condescending toward my husband and I. The lady that walked up to me was the most rude. She said, "You need to pick him up! He is crying for you!

Where is his bottle? You need to take your *T-word for **** out to feed him! (yes she actually used that word)." As if I'm just going to pull out my *** and start breastfeeding right there in the line! I point out that I am about to leave the store and tell her to mind her own business.

As this is happening the other three Publix associates are GLARING at me and throwing in their own 2 cents. They acted as if they have never seen a baby cry before!! I have never went into a store anywhere and had any associates be so rude to me! Thankfully, we called the manager and she was polite, professional, and understanding.

She said she would talk to the associates about the issue.

So compliments to her. I am still very upset though!!!

You people can all keep shopping at publix, i will go to winn dixie or walmart.publix people always have something to complain about. Winn dixie and walmart employees are by far more professional than publix employees or customers.

The only one that is unprofessional is you who should not be allowed to be a parent. Or the OP for not being able to tend to her child if someone else made this post. The OP also does not know how to read well and mistakes someone telling them that they doubt their story as not being able to read.

Guest

I bet all of you are going to be happy to read this. I no longer have my baby with me.

So you all got your wish. CPS took my baby from me because I left my baby in the car while shopping at Publix. First the complain that the baby is crying, when I leave the baby in the car while shopping some busy body called the police and now my baby was taken from me and put in foster care. They say I am not fit to be a parent.

That it was a bad decision to leave my baby in the car. Now I have a lot of time on my hands thanks to them and I will be making all of you miserable.

GOOD!

What *** leave a baby in a car alone long enough for someone to call the police?

You are low and absolutely disgusting.

Completely unfit parent.

Prudence Vyp

By 8pm babies should be in bed. I agree with Brett sounds like you were in the store longer than five minutes and everyone was fed up with you letting the baby cry.

This is not the case of him not being able to read. This is more of him not believing what you posted.

There is a difference. I suggest if you are not mature enough to reply without calling people names that you don't.

I have read your review and you have no right giving parenting lectures when you let your son treat you badly because he did not get a PS4 for his birthday. I agree with you all that the mother was allowing her baby to cry for more than five minute and she seems illiterate as well but you let your son talk down to you and treat you badly so you have no right to tell anyone how to be a parent.

Anonymous

Obviously the issue is not the baby crying but you not doing a thing to stop the baby fro crying. You obviously let your baby cry for a long time if not only a customer, but four employees had an issue.

If you cannot tend to your child than don't have children. One of you can stay with the baby while the other shops. I am sick and tired of parents allowing their children to cry for long periods of time or of parents allowing their children to run in the store. The fact that all this happened shows that you did not tend to your child in a timely manner.

Yeah their comments were rude. But the rest of the people in the store should not have to hear your baby cry.

I was not there but many times I see parents like you that allow their children to cry and run around unsupervised. If your child cannot stop crying one of you should have taken the child out of the store and allowing others to shop in peace.

Cabrina Zai
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1251903

You obviously didn't read it well. I noted that we were only in Publix 5 minutes and were leaving as the baby was crying. So you should probably learn how to read before making *** comments.

Anonymous
reply icon Replying to comment of Cabrina Zai

I have read it quite well. It is obviously YOU that does not know how to read.

I KNOW that YOU SAID that you were only in the store for five minutes. If you knew how to read yourself you would see that I doubt that you were in the store for five minutes as you claim. All of this could not happen in five minutes. You obviously just claim to be in the store for five minutes but I DOUBT THIS.

Learn to comprenhend what you read before commenting. Do you kiss your baby with that filthy mouth of yours. Please do not home school your baby. Clearly your reading skills are that of an eight year old.

Clearly you were in the store longer than you claim. Clearly you did not take the child out of the store until everyone else was fed up with your lack of parenting. Do the child a favor and give him up for adoption because clearly you are not fit to be a parent. Then get your tubes tied and stop spreading your legs until you are ready to parent.

Take reading lessons. If you knew how to read you would see that I have read that comment about you only being in the store five minutes but I doubt this is true.

There is a difference between not being able to read and not believing what someone read. If you were not mentally retarded you would know this difference.

SIDES WERE TOO SALTY TO EAT!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The Publix where I usually shop is wonderful. I have no complaints at all with the store.

Last year we ordered a turkey dinner and the sides were a little salty but edible so this year we did the same thing. I added extra sides and pies. However, the stuffing was so salty I spit it into the sink. The potatoes were worse.

Did someone spill the salt into these sides? Luckily I had a Pepperidge farms stuffing mix and instant potatoes that I made up with my company on the way. Never again. I served both stuffings and both potatoes, with fair warning.

It wasn't just me. The pre-made sides went right into the trash. What a shame. The rest went into the disposal.

What a waste of food and money. PLEASE PUBLIX, PLEASE get someone else to make your dinners next year. We won't buy it again.

In a pinch, I would buy a pre-cooked turkey breast and pick out some sides made by Hormell or similar near the meat department. Don't waste your money.

Store manager rude comment.

I work for #518 in Homosassa, Florida. I'd only been there a month when, I injured my back. I left early that day and saw a doctor. She said, I needed to see an ortho. So, I did. After a few week of recuperating from a compression fracture of the L-3, I was able to return to work on light duty only. Yesterday, I encountered my store manager as I do now and then. After saying hello, he looked me straight in the eye and, in an extremely loud tone said, YOU KNOW YOU COST THIS STORE, $6800. ! I just glared at him. I thought this was inappropriate. I didn't ask to be hurt, it just happened. I'd like this to be addressed. Thank you.

Publix also holds onto leases on stores they close so other businesses cannot move in, making small businesses to suffer also from less foot traffic in a plaza, and like you said, Publix is a debt free company that likes to tell everyone how wonderful Publix is. Sounds in American to me, I thought America is supposed to be a free country

A product on sale for 3 for $10 would be $3.33 for two of them and $3.34 for the third, 2 for $5.99 would be $3 for one and $2.99 for the second. It's not that hard.

DO NOT WORK AT PUBLIX

When I was hired at Publix I was so excited. This ended real quick.

Six months later I could not put up with the *** anymore and left. The extent of the training I was given was computer based and taught me nothing about the job I would be doing and then I received no on the job training. The customers had to train me which was humiliating. When I would help a customer if I messed up my associates would watch me and then go to the manager and accuse me of giving away free food instead of telling me what I did wrong and trying to help me.

Right from the beginning I would be left up front in the deli with no other associates to ask questions of and customers are highly demanding at Publix. Apparently it was my job to make sure the full time people were up front helping me but I was not hired in a leadership position just a Deli Clerk. I was yelled at by random associates left and right for jobs I didn't know I was supposed to do because I hadn't been told to do them. The second week there, even though I have a clean criminal background and have been a keyholder at multiple businesses and never been fired, a customer service associate waited for me at the front after a long night and said he needed to search my bag......but nobody else's.

That ruined it for me. Employees will throw you under the bus, talk behind your back and spread rumors and lies. I had to put up with that in high school but this is life and I am over it. Don't work there it isn't worth it.

For that kind of abuse you might as well be a server and make real money. However if you are an *** and fake nice you might have a future there and I guess that wouldn't be that bad.

You are right about the training... I work in the deli and everything correct I know I learned from a customer who had worked in his family's deli for 50 years.

I come to work and everything is dirty and gross and I clean it up, half way through cleaning up the mess left by everyone else I'm told to stop wasting time and get on the customer line. It's embarrasing to me when people walk up and our slicers are covered in dried meat and blood with a fly or two buzzing around.

If publix were a swimming pool it would be full of dead people who were never told how to swim.

I am sorry for your bad experience with Publix, however, I have been employed with Publix for 9 years. Yes there are bad days, yes there are good days.

for the most part, the good days always out numbered the bad.

Dissapointed Publix Thanksgiving Dinner Review 2017

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

11/26/17 My mom ordered the Publix Thanksgiving Dinner service for 18 and it was Terrible! She is so embarrassed. The Turkey tasted very old!

The instructions said to just heat, but when she opened the package it was watery and not done! The dressing was inedible. So gross! Mushy & tasteless.

Stouffers instant would have been a better choice. It went in the garbage and she had to remake another recipe. The mashed potatoes were suppose to be Yukon Gold. But they were grainy, runny & lumpy.

They had to have been instant. The gravy tasted like it came from a can.

Of the whole meal the cranberries and the marshmallow fluff were the only edible items. DO NOT ORDER THIS FOR YOUR THANKSGIVING MEAL OR SPECIAL OCCASION!!!!!!!We are so upset!

Publix is not a quality grocer anymore

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I also more frequently than not get weevils in pasta purchased from publix. It doesn't seem to matter what brand pasta it is. I also inspect all of my dry goods immediately when I get home. I bought 4 boxes of linguini...one box was full of weevils, the other 3 were free of bugs....that is, until I went to use the other boxes a month later.

There must have been eggs in the boxes.

I also had an incident where I found glass in one of their deli subs. Took it back to the store and complained. Their resolution was to give me another free sub. Really?

I've been a Publix customer since the mid 1980's. No more. I'm done!

I. too , have found weevils in pasta at Publix - Twice!!!!!

Guest

Well as a baker it's pretty common for weevils to be in many gluten goods because their eggs are usually in grain before its milled and sometimes it gets through and if you have them in one thing chances are they have them in your pantry so it might be your house. Also, the Publix remaking the sub thing makes sense!

If you aren't satisfied they are willing to make another for you! If anything it just sounds like you are making petty claims.

It's the new Winn Dixie in a free fall.

Worst place I've ever worked. One manager said I tried to hurt him badly.

Never happened not even close! Come to find out they disaplined me and a year later fired him fro heavy drug use.

I came out smelling like a rose by not working there. I said no to drugs!

Leave as fast as you can.I know what you mean I no longer work or buy there products management anger problem is why glass in sandwich

Andrea Ahw

Every grain product can contain weevil eggs. That is why you should store grain products at lower temps and avoid humidity in your home.

I keep my pasta in a dark pantry, and keep my home at a cooler temp. I also keep my flour, and meal in the refrigerator.

If you find a weevil while cooking your pasta, just scoop them out.

They will certainly not kill you. That you have never found a weevil before is astounding.

Terrible Service

Refused to accept my check from a recent ly opened account, after they said it would be accepted. They blamed it on their check cashing service who have refused to explain and there is no way to contact anyone at their check cashing service to explain. Kroeger looks more appealing each day.

It gets better, the check cashing service says we need to establish a history, but won't tell us how, if they don't approve our checks. They don't explain how to establish trust, how many check s need to be cashed to establish ourselves or provide any guidance.

Publix hired them, Publix offers no options such as a courtesy card.

We are caught in a loop where we can't cash a check, we can't establish our credit as they won't approve our checks because we do not have a history and they provide no guidance and don't have a method to track transactions to establish credit. What a joke!
